Brothers and sisters Assalam u Alaikum,

I consider this the most important question for Pakistan than any other question, because it can change our destiny...

before answering this question please consider why Pakistan was given By Allah to us after an Exemplary sacrifices and efforts of our great leaders and our nation...

Pakistan was formed because the leaders and our forefather at that time wanted a land where "THEY COULD LIVE THEIR LIFE ACCORDING TO THE TEACHINGS OF ISLAM"

Most of us even don't know the Islamic date when our Pakistan came into existence.. Brothers and sisters, those who don't know, it was the 27 of Ramadan when our Pakistan got independence....

And this was a message from Allah that I have given you this land so that you may live your life according to Islamic teachings of Quran and Sunnah...

In my view "Nothing can change the destiny of our country unless and until we adopt the Islamic Teaching in our life" ..

Everything we are facing today, whether terrorism , whether it be electricity , food shortages are (agree with me or not) because we have forgotten the Base of our creation... And agree with me or not Allah is Punishing us for all we are doing today in the form of these problem we are facing today , inspite of the fact that we very rich in all these resources of food and energy....

Pakistan Constitution says that "No law will be passed that is against the teaching of Holy Quran and Sunnah" , But still we have many things operating in our country that is against Islamic teachings.. For example, We have interest based Banking system operating in our country But Holy Prophet (SA) said:

"The curse is on the receiver and payer of interest and the one who accounts it and on the one who bear witness to such transactions"
(Sahih Muslim)

at other place Prophet (sa) says:

"Interest is such a big sin that if it were to be split in seventy parts, the lightest part of it is equal to the sin of committing adultery with ones mother"
(ibn Maja)

this is just one example.. We should adopt Islamic Laws in our life and try more to study Islam apply it, rather than spending our free time enjoying and wasting wealth... We and our government are the one who have to bring change.. we will not get any help from outsider in this regard...

.
Sharia is the last thing Pakistan needs right now, the world is moving forward not backward. Democracy is the only thing that can save Pakistan, everything else are temporary measures and are bound to fail.
Brother i consider your view of Shariah as incapable of Governing Country, as short term thinking. you are saying only what you are seeing nowadays.

you have said this because you may have no knowledge of how massively the Muslims prosper in the time Khilifat... You may have no Idea that Islam law will once again be brought and will succeed in the end of times by Hazrat Isa (AS)..

I think you should study few hadiths and study Quran in this regard to get the big picture....

.
1st of all people should know that Islamic Law is compulsory to follow for a muslim, & Allah knows pretty well what is good for us and what is bad.

For non-muslims, Shariah Law is best for any country as it speaks about unity, as all ethical groups unites under single leadership while when we look at democracy its speaks about divisions of the people. Shariah Law has the best Laws available for criminals as it speaks about harsh punishment (ofcourse with rules, unlike TTP's Shariah). & these harsh punishments drops the crime rate in the country. This kind of crime free environment (closed to) let economy grow. There is less corruption as less people involve in politics, and most of the people are just common people. You live under the law. & if you get real kind leadership, the country will be good as heaven. Non-muslims has equal rights as any muslim, only jazdiya (i hope i am correct with the name) need to be payed by them, but no need to worry as muslims are also bound with same, just name is different they pay Zakat.

Why would anyone choose tribal/feudalism? Can you explain why?

Im all for a responsible democracy, but i recognise the issues with blind voting ala Zardari.

Perhaps pakistan is not ready for democracy, perhaps it is, nevertheless, teething problems have to be overcome, incompetents removed, education budget increased...

Sharia is all well and good if you are an idealist.

In the real world, people falter on their interpretation of any form of scripture, ethnic tensions do not just disappear. Regions will pop up with their own interprtation of Shariah that suits them, and will constantly denounce others for their lack of Islamic faith.

If saudi arabia had no oil, how succesful would they be under their interpretation of Shariah?

Sorry Brother but if you are a Muslim you have to accept the shariah regardless of the price one has to pay... You live in British which is a secular state .. But Pakistan is a Islamic State .. Although in many Areas Islam is not being practiced but Efforts can be made to change the destiny.. Shariah is the best system without a shadow of doubt...

Its ideal but its to be followed if you want success in both the worlds..

The poll and choices are not structured very well.

For example, why is it assumed that democracy/republic is incompatible with an Islamic State?

Is the thread starter forgetting that the name of the nation we belong to is the 'Islamic Republic of Pakistan' and that under the Pakistani constitution all laws are to be in conformity with Islam?

False choices such as these both impugn democracy and mislead people.

A better way of asking the questions would have been:

Secular democracy

Islamic Democracy

Religious Dictatorship

Monarchy

Military Dictatorship

Communism/one party rule

I am a muslim, but i am not a sheep. I am not one to blindly follow what somebody tells me, be it shariah, or secularism. As i said before, it is ideal if we lived in an ideal world.

As Muslims we don't have to accept anything. We have minds and the ability to reason and apply logic and rational thought to issues, and based on that ability we should make decisions in the best interests of ourselves, the people.

Whether or not those decisions are correct will be judged in the hereafter by Allah, not by Mullahs in this world.

 I don't get it.

Are you a Pakistani, American or Indian? And why, as a Pakistani, would you like to see Pakistan as a Communist State?

What you said is very interesting, but unfortunately very very broad and yet insufficient. Could you please elaborate on that?

1973 constitution is good but we need some major changes , specially in Laws on Minorities

For the Electoral process i would like to see all graduates sitting in the Parliment each Ministary must be given to a ministar with relevant experiance in that field.

State Must stay an Islamic one as this why we created it , if we didn't needed an Islamic state we should have been with India in the first place.

The taxation , Banking and economic systems need major reforms that we can abolish "sood and Rib'a".

I would support a Sharia state but its an extremely senstive matter and i dont see Anyone in My country able enough to take that task so i would rather support an Islamic Democratic Pakistan which revives our Idealogy.

Brother if you are a muslim and don't follow what Allah has told you to do, you better know that its called SHIRK.. It is Shirk if you are saying you will do what you believe... this is because Allah is Al-Hakam i.e the Only One who gives Law....

If you think you can accept any other Law, that is contrary to Islam , sorry to say but its Shirk.. And Allah has said that He will forgive everything, but he won't forgive the person who will come to Him with committing shirk.....

Consider this as a advice to you from my side... you are solely responsible for your actions..

Thanks for Kind advice , but State and personal religious belief are two different matters.

If you are talking about an Islamic Pakistan with sharia law then Bring me Abu Bakar , Umar ,Usman ,Haider like people to lead this country and i will accept it.

The malookiat in the middle ages has done us a damage that we cant fullfill now.

Do you have any person in Mind able enough to be our "Khalifa"
Dont say zaid hamid:rofl:

.
Thank you for the advice, I'll take up my actions with Allah when I see Him.

That is going to be a Long time ahead cobber , we are served on come first get first basis so we already are taking our actions up to Him ain't we.
