What is your view about Korea and Vietnam?

That representation is about as accurate as those from dynasty warriors.

btw Sui Dynasty fought a campaign with Goguryeo and lost. This was used by korean historians to claim of a korea victory over china.

Goguryeo later lost to Tang, and Silla became the precursor for Korean statehood.

I used to have a very big and very detailed book on ancient Korean history. It could probably answer a lot of the questions posed here.

Shame I lost it.

I know Korean armor(and culture for that matter) looks influenced by its surroundings, but they looks unique enough dont you think?

These armors were from the era of the Joseon Dynasty, and they were influenced by the Style of the Ming Dynasty since Korea was China's vassal state during that time.

Ya, I see. Can you post similar Chinese armor to the Korean? I still think its unique enough.

Emperors of the later Qings? Name some emperors that have been mixed.

Early Manchus were also mixed, they were different from Jurchens.

Jurchens from 11-12th century.

Whether they had legitimate claims or not does not matter. This is the real world. Without military power they have no say in the matter.

All armours and especially heavy cavalry armours tends to be similar:

must be a pain to drill all these holes into the limestone plates.

First off, I would like to point out that superficial "friendliness" is just a facade people put up to avoid being punched in the face (the Arabs I've met are a-holes through & through, but that's a different story). Behind that facade, I find Koreans & Vietnamese to be quite different in their attitude toward Chinese & outsiders in general. I've only met a handful of Koreans who are willing to get up close & personal with me, but I have lost count of close Vietnamese friends. My brother will marry a Vietnamese lady this October.

You have it all wrong, it was the Koreans who influenced the Ming.
