What is your view about Korea and Vietnam?

 government bureaucrats hate each other. CCTV is basically at war with the censor (State Admin of Radio and TV). There's plenty of competition.

China is the 2nd largest publisher of both scientific research papers and of patents. Where's Vietnam?
LOL, of course you can do since you have the foundation of an established industrial base (due solely from knowledge of tech transfer )

Why did we get the tech transfer? Why not glorious motherland of Vietnam? Maybe its because the cart doesn't drag the horse, maybe its because we had the established industrial base so people sold us the tech?

After world war 2, you guys have little to nothing in industrial base so spare me the bullxhit. All of your industrial base right now is just the direct technology transferred. You guys get the tech transfer because you overbreed more than the rest to use it as a leverage in the form of world geo-politic importance and market share.

You want to talk about Viet Nam? We are doing fine, we have moved from agriculture to light manufacturing and now to heavy industry manufacturing and pretty soon in about 5 years we'll enter hi-tech manufacturing. Viet Nam will become an industralized nation in 20 years so there is nothing to be concerned about.

 In 1960, we cut off ties with the Soviet Union. In 1964, we exploded an atomic bomb. In 1967, within 32 months and before France, we exploded a hydrogen bomb. In 1971, we launched a nuclear submarine. In 1976, we developed hybrid rice.

After WW2, we were far poorer than Vietnam and India. Why did Vietnam not explode an atomic bomb, or make a hydrogen bomb, or launch a nuclear submarine, or invent hybrid rice?

Where's Vietnam's heavy industry? China controls 40% of the world's chemical fibers production, 50% of steel and cement production, produces the most cars in the world, produces the most solar panels in the world... I can go on but you get the picture. You don't have heavy industry. You're barely hanging on to textiles, which China has a grip over you because you are forced to import our textile machinery and fibers.

You get massive military tech help so give it a rest.

And you don't understand the scale of production vs the capability of production that Viet Nam has.

china might produce everythin, but korea and japan are the main leaders in the car industry in asia. But, china's doin better than us, so we cant exactly complain :/

It's not exactly better, the real truth comes from the country's output in dollar amounts over its population.

You're reinventing the wheel. It has been done by countless countries. Vietnam does not need to repeat it. Thank you for your concerns.

yeah we are kinda bad at producing cars.

Korea and Japan are doing really well in high tech consumer goods.

The wheel isn't so easy to reinvent, otherwise everyone else would have reinvented it as well.

That's because you did it all wrong. Nobody asks you to re-invented the wheel.

Also, why are we fighting among ourselves? there's a greater enemy out there... ASIAN STEREOTYPES!!! :hitwall: dont yall get sick of hearing, "oh ur asian, u have a small dick." last time i checked, most asians were bigger than most white people. :P

that is due to the media which brainwashes people with "white is right". Here's a scientific measurement done with scanners in malls, of China and the US.

Alvanon Releases Most Extensive Chinese Body Measurement Study | Business Wire | Find Articles

Analysis Reveals Significant Insight on Chinese Size and Shape for the Fashion Industries

NEW YORK & LONDON & HONG KONG -- Alvanon, the global size and fit expert, today announced it has compiled the most extensive collection of body scan research in China. Over 28,000 people were scanned in four key regions of the country at various urban retail shopping centers. The scanners captured 45 measurements per person, resulting in the largest body measurement study ever performed in China.

"There is an unprecedented retail opportunity in China. The right product mix must be combined with the right size and fit to achieve a successful brand following in China," said Janice Wang, CEO, Alvanon. "Our China body measurement study, combined with the data we've compiled in the rest of the world, uniquely enables us to provide leading apparel brands with powerful insights about their target consumers.

Alvanon collected this highly relevant data from the world's fastest growing retail market utilizing safe millimeter wave scanners that accurately measure fully-clothed participating shoppers in seconds. This new study adds to Alvanon's database of body measurements, which now exceeds 250,000 men, women and children of various age groups from over 14 countries in Europe, Asia and North America.

Below are some interesting facts uncovered by the Alvanon study.
