Perhaps if the Holy Quran , like the Holy Bible stated "thou shalt not kill" and just stopped there then the issue would be simple. Unfortunately the Holy Quran seems to state "thou shalt not kill a believer" and that is where the problem starts. Who exactly is a believer or unbeliever has now crossed all lines. Performing namaz five times a day, believing that Muhammad was the last Prophet of God, striving towards haj etc no longer qualifies you to be a believer. You could follow all the pillars of Islam and yet remain a pagan or heretic to another Muslim. It all started off decades ago with the believers slaughtering the unbelievers to advance the cause of Islam. Now it has turned 360 degrees to the believers slaughtering the believers
