I dont blame Islam for any thing,,, do you realize what has been done in the name of Chrisitanity over the centuries makes Islam look enlightend. I just have a problem with it still being done in the 21st century in the name of religon. Another thing people need to realize unless women have true equality and lot of things come with that people dont like a country is never going have economic properity...

I personally wouldn't mind praying behind a woman Imam... As long as the credentials of the Imam are impeccable. Lol, I know 90% of Pakistanis don't pray regularly, but they are so quick to pass judgement on the others that do.

Make a conscious choice whether or not to pray with them. You're free to pray in whichever mosque you want to. Lol, There are far worse things happening to Islam than women praying.

Why men were allowed to have 4 wives in Islam?

Just to add:
It's because men traditionally supported women (and still do) and a single woman would have had a very difficult time supporting herself without a man. It was important for women to get married and since women outnumbered men in natural human populations (even today i.e., India) and also the men were marching off to war at the time of the Prophet which would have reduced their numbers, men were allowed to take up to 4 wives (if they could treat them well and support them all and with the permission of the first wife) to ensure that more women had husbands.

General reasons:

Men (generally) have stronger urge for sex than women and so the man may want sex more often than the single wife would allow. On the other hand, it would be very rare for the man to say no to his wife if the woman wants sex (even if daily).

Why women can't have 4 husbands?

If a woman marries 4 men and she gets pregnant and a child is born, then how would the mother and child know who was the father of the child (unless the child has some very distinguishing features)? You may not care who your father is, but some of us do care and Islam puts great emphasis on father. (And remember that does not occur if a man has 4 wives.)

you cannot deny that in last Govt Pakistan had 30% Female MP's you cannot find any match anywhere , we had a Female Prime minister , we have females in every walk of life even Fighter Pilots which even Ausiee's do not have

look its simple , what is right for you is right for you same with us let us do our thing and you do yours.

I think our main problems is with honor killings, gang rapes,, and burying women alive...and sending women to prison if they cant find 4 Muslim men to testfie that it was rape....you know that kind of thing...along with beating the hell out of them becauses they are no laws to protect them from abuse.
