The answer to your question would vary from person to person & be different at various ages / stages of life
Some determinants of good life would be internal peace which would come from a satisfaction of having done the best you could at each stage in life & the acceptance of the results the efforts gave.

Cherish what you have for one day they were the things we only hoped for.

Having an enjoyable hobby or pastime which keeps you engaged besides work.
