What's new

What if there was no Kashmir dispute?

Kashmir or no kashmir, the two nations would still be at logger-heads with each other. Two nations whose partition was so bloody would have found another reason to fight.

I think the animosity was mostly caused by the violent partition, the death of over a million on both sides, religious riots on both sides etc. Kashmir was just the icing on an otherwise distasteful cake.

Btw, the term "Indian" is not new. Maps for a hundred years referred to the "Indian Ocean", Christopher Columbus went looking for India, the "West Indies" was so named to differentiate from the "East Indies", the "East India Company".....all well before the partition.
All Indians know that.
Its the Pakistani's who want to portray India as something new and different.

Didnt you hear the words of wisdom right now? - Pakistan was never part of India, even despite the fact that Punjab and Sindh(almost the entire essence of Pakistan) were always ruled from what is modern India for almost all of known history.

They keep coming up with new gems because they have never made peace with their past. Which is one of the reasons they ape Arabs, take glory of Afghan and Central Asians. What is now their own land, has never spouted any great leaders or conquerors.

Our culture is organic and changes with the times and is open. We influence the World and the World influences us. Once something is adopted by the masses and is no longer limited to the top 1%, it automatically joins culture. Young girls wear mini skirts just as much as a Salwar Kurta and just as much as Jeans.

Friend, we really dont need lectures at the very least on culture from a country whose ideal of culture is 7th century Arabia.

As I said you are full of baloney when, it comes to pakistani dressing or acting like Arabs its called inferiority complex, but when same is applied to Indians for dressing like westerners its called Organic AKA Hypocrisy.

This post is hypothetical and can never happen but even if this situation was to exist then we would have some more stuff to worry about....

Kashmir is the "come at me bro" of real life. Think of it as a way for both countries to prove something without actually escalating into a seriously hostile situation. Kashmir is not the real underlying issue for the broken relationship between Pakistan and India, it is a side effect.

There is no 'broken relationship' friend.
India has made peace with itself, its land and its history.

The only thing that concerns India now is economy and prosperity of its people. The result is evident in terms of the current state/development of India.

Pakistan on the other hand has tons of unresolved issues and keeps trying to create new ones for itself and its neighbours- from terrorism to land grab attempts to drug smuggling to dictatorships to Arab conflicts to whatnot. The current state of Pakistan is also indicative of this. Pakistan keeps lurching from one problem to another...never realizing the that the sole cause of its miseries is its own self.

There have been 3 wars over it, the last one actually had the US intelligence warning of nuclear escalation being close.

Reports of Apksitan prepping is what caused Billy to call down Nawaz and give him a dressing down on the 4th of July.

not so much of "come at me bro" methinks.
