What if Russia invaded the Baltics?

In good days. Not in black days of global catastrophe. As I said - in the days of global disasters Baltics will ask to join Russia for surviving. If there will be no catastrophes in the future - they will be fine. Due to Russia have non-frozen ports of Kaliningrad region at the Baltic sea Russia do not need Baltics states anymore, as it was in previous centuries. So - Russia do not need Baltic states. They have no resources Russia needs.

advances in technology make food & energy production for 8-10 million people easy. as long as the citizens of Baltic states are educated they will do fine.

Advanced technologies can make food even in Arctics or Mars. I am talking about bad times of climate, political and economical disasters. And all of you talking about fancy pink days. In bad times Baltics can not afford any technologies or technics because it does not produce it and has nothing to offer for exchange. The only thing Baltics make good - is sprats fish. But due to sanctions Kaliningrad region also started to make this fish.

Baltics lost around 30% of population in "good" days since 1991. I am very doubt they have any chances in bad days.

If the international order breaks down countries like Poland, Ukraine, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Finland will go nuclear. No sane Russian leader will risk St Petersburg or Moscow for a small chunk of real estate.

In the event of NATO breakdown if the Baltics have a collective union with Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark it would raise the cost of Russian intervention without offending Russian sensibilities or posing a threat to Russia.

Russia has no reasons to invade Baltics because those poor lands with swamps has no resources Russia needs. The only reason could be Baltic ports but nowadays Russia got Kaliningrad - former Kenigsberg - with better harbors and warmer waters. About small countries having nukes - pure fantasy, so as possible alliances. In times of troubles most European countries will seek alliance with Russia as it was many times in the past. Russia was part of one or another European alliances since Middle Ages long before USA exists. It is not like the world started during Cold War. Next day Americans leave Europe - Russia again will be part of alliances in Europe. And I mean real and powerful Europe - Germany, France, Italy, not those Eastern limitrophs, living on EU donations.
