Atleast he knew that pak is no match to India in conventinal war.
A simplistic view of what probably happened
1. India prepared for battle exercises and war games
2. Pakistani army got the jitters and started fear mongering about "India is coming"
3. Zia went to India to watch a cricket match and shook hands with Rajiv Gandhi asking him not to attack Pakistan
4. Rajiv Gadhi asked the defense minister if he knew what Zia was talking about
5. Defense minister said that probably Zia was confusing the East and West fronts of Pakistan
6. Rajiv Gandhi smirked and carried on
7. Indian forces completed the war games and went back
8. Zia chest thumped that made India back down
9. Pakistani Fanboys and people like Zaid Hamid got the opportunity to yet again "Create History"
Gen Zia was much much better than the ball less- gherat less- creatures we have for PM and COAS right now include the terrorist sympathizer CJ aswell-
What? No unicorns? No pixies? No leprechauns? I'm disappointed.

Well I can't argue that flawless logic. Like I couldn't with your previous post. Obviously, you being Indian are correct, since correct history isn't just told but made by Indians and Indians alone. I mean, its quite apparent that you were present there, latched onto Rajiv's pantaloons
And the way you explained the 86-87 Brasstacks, ummmhhhhmmmm.......! ^.^
In 86-87 I was too small to latch on to anyone's pantaloons
And dont you think that the onus of proving what happened at that meeting lies with the one who claimed to know the details.. I atleast qualified my scenario with a "Probably what happened"
Before his departure, Gen. Zia turned to Rajiv Gandhi and said, ‘Mr. Rajiv, ....
