What Happened Before The Big Bang: BBC Documentary

Ok, so if we can't observe anything outside our universe, how exactly can we know for certain that it is a closed system. You actually have it backwards, we are physically constrained to seeing past a certain point in any direction (speed limit of light) so you assume that it is a closed system.

That's like saying Earth is a closed system because the atmosphere ends at a certain point.

You mean Energy? Matter can be destroyed and created, energy can't. However the amount of energy in a system can decrease or increase, this can in turn effect Gravity, which effects whether the universe expands or contracts. Also the rate at which energy increases and/or decreases must be considered, and the mass lost too.

Conservation of energy is an absolute law. First law of thermodynamics states that the energy of a closed system must remain constant. In a closed system, energy is not lost but transformed from one form to another. The perfect examples are the Einsteins famous equation E = MC^2 (matter is another form of energy) or equivalence of potential energy and kinetic energy which prove that Universe is a closed system.

Contrary to what you say observable universe is open system while the whole universe is a closed system.

.
Matter neither can be created nor destroyed. Time and space has always existed and our universe expands through inflation and then collapses due to gravity and then it starts again. According to theoretical Physics here at least two brane with space in the middle and when they touch there is an explosion and create new big bang. There at least 10 ** 10 ** 10 ** 7 multiverses. We are only beginning to scratch the surface.

Well sir the principle of conservation of energy would not be violated if there was no energy to conserve in the first place, so at least in theory matter can be created without violating first law of thermodynamics.

They make sense because it is just an assumption that time and space came into existence at the time of big bang. There is never evidence for that. There are also many issue with the whole big bang theory. The most important of all is how come everything came into existence from nothing.

There are new theories that are predicting that big bang never happened and they are pretty well explaining our Universe

No physicist will claim with absolute certainty that the big bang occurred yet there is strong theoretical and experimental evidence for a Big Bang, and if time and space did not have a beginning well then sir there would be an infinite series of past events which would preclude the universe from reaching this current point in time. I think its a logical point of view to come to the conclusion that the universe definitely has a beginning, btw most physicists follow the inflation model proposed by Guth.

Well I have't read about any experimental evidence of Big bang, but observational evidence is there. But the observational evidence can be fit into different theories other than big bang. And new theories are better able to explain the existence of black matter and black energy, and most important of all what happened before big bang. Also new theories doesn't negate inflation theory.

No Big Bang? Quantum equation predicts universe has no beginning

my theory is probably different than all of yours. no one can prove themselves correct when it comes to nature of the universe. what i believe is that the nature of universe is too complicated for human brain to comprehend it, we simply do not have the capability to understand it

All of these models still require a beginning, I suggest you read this paper published by Audrey Mithani and Alexander Vilenkin

Did the universe have a beginning?

At this point, it seems that the answer to this question is probably yes. Here we have addressed three scenarios which seemed to offer a way to avoid a beginning, and have found that none of them can actually be eternal in the past. Both eternal inflation and cyclic universe scenarios have Hav > 0, which means that they must be past-geodesically incomplete. We have also examined a simple emergent universe model, and concluded that it cannot escape quantum collapse. Even considering more general emergent universe models, there do not seem to be any matter sources that admit solutions that are immune to collapse.

If you have a theory, you should also present your evidence

Sir the the detection of gravitational waves, predicted by inflation theory.

Gravitational waves are consequences of general relativity, while inflation theory are consequences of quantum fluctuations. General relativity precedes inflation theory by at least half a century.

True they are predicted by general relativity yet only inflation can amplify the primordial gravitational wave signal enough to make it detectable. kudos

I watched it on documentaries , about parallel universes and string theories

The the universe planes vibrate like strings (strings theory) and when the two planes collide it results in what we call the Big Bang. Scientist view the planes like a "Membrane" which moves or behaves like a "string" not a particle
bigbang_mtheory.jpg

Some folks were throwing the ideas that two parallel universes , which behave like strings (isolating like string)
at some point in time , interacted (had collision) with each other. This collision was was was later called the Big Bang
spewing vast amount of matter away from point of collision.

As lunatic as the idea sounded it seemed some what reasonable , provided you believe that there is a parallel universe that lives above our own universe and there are infinite universes which traditionally do not tangle with each other

The main idea behind this is while at present , we detect with our (Data) universe is expanding
scientists seems to say that this expansion would eventually stop and the items would converge again for a fresh new collision which will start the Big Bang Again once more
