What General Hameed Gul said about political system of Pakistan before his death !!

No he is the one who brought even more corrupt band of crooks to go against the crooks. IJI was the greatest band of crooks. The tragedy of this country is that these so called reformers are the biggest charlatans of all time - hypocrisy is endless.

Mr. Hamid gul was directly involved in the creation of the most corrupt band of politicians just because he was against benazir. Would he ever ask the same people to run his home? Mr. Gul and many like him belong to the elite who have made this system what it is today and then criticize it.

The choice he ahd was between benazir and the nawaz....benazir's father had sold of pakistan and introduced vicious criminals and terrorists into govenment........nawaz at that time was a lackey of zia...he had still not shown his real colors.....

dont get me wrong I am not absolving hamid of culpability.....just i'm sure he was no angel...[hell he was even defending benazir in a number of tv programs in the later years]..but the state [establishment] never had the courage to take the bull by hte horns and hang all the crooks and criminals...just like now......so the rot continued....at the same timethe bigger crook here is nawaz because he was getting the biggest office the land the rest is history....

would a benazir victory have been a different outcome? it would have been just as big a disaster considering her tenure during the 1990's...cotecna, when eitzaz ahsen betrayed secrets, she sold state secrets to enemy states etc....

the fact is pakistan today is at the stage of republic of vietnam [aka south vietnam] in 1974-75......

No doubt he was a patriotic Pakistani but, as Musharraf said, Gul was a nutjob. No solutions being offered except ramblings and generalizations. And grand ambitions of making Pakistan the BEST MODEL FOR HUMANITY in every sense. Basically, this guy is even discarding the 1973 Constitution--a document which even General Zia didn't annul. Wow!

I don't think Pakistan is getting any worse than this guy and many of PTI supporters claim. It is a fact that Pakistani economy is getting better since Zardari left. It is a fact that Karachi has much better peace since Zardari left. It is a fact that internal terrorism in Pakistan has gone down a lot since Zardari left. Pakistan has even improved its ranking in the Transparency International ratings.

So are they not fruits of an orderly change of power? Or do we want "revolutions' like in Libya or Egypt or Syria?

As I keep saying here, political instability is the mother of all corruptions. PAKISTAN IS NOT UNIQUELY CORRUPT IN THE WORLD! It happens in almost all countries of the world. Look at America: Given its virtually limitless human and natural resources, it should be a big creditor nation. But it's a huge debtor nation.

We need to stop putting Pakistani politicians on some heavenly thrones; they are corrupt because the society is corrupt. But they are certainly not the most corrupt in the world.
With due respect I disagree with you ,on the one hand you are saying that thing's are getting better after the Zardari and meanwhile you are favoring this pseudo democracy(I call it monarchy) so wasn't Zardari elected democratically? if this system delivered leaders like Zardari, N.S in front and honest and good peoples sitting in the back benches, then certainly there is something very very wrong with this system, and by the way what sort of democracy in Russia, China, Iran,Uzbekistan, N.Korea ,KSA,Qatar, UAE,Kuwait, Oman,Bahrain, Tajikistan, is? Are their people are suffering as we are? Aren't they preserving their national interest better than us ,?
