What do Pakistanis think about People's Republic of China

. .
They do what's in their interests and put themselves first. I respect that as well as the fact that the people work very hard.

However, I find their human rights violations to be pretty bad and I think they can be a little too Atheistic for my liking (to the point where they force this belief upon others).

Where do you begin with China? Fascinating history and culture. Lots of deep valuable wisdom. Greats like Confucius. Very varied country and landscape. An exciting place. Chinese people are sometimes a little difficult to get on with. Very scary authoritarian regime. Ancient architecture is amazing. Food is good too.

In some culture authoritarian concept is built in. They believe change on top bring anarchy ...if they are happy with that system of govt .... well and good .

China is amazing country. Cant forget how they made Indians run in 1962 and again at Doklam. Thats the most fun part.

Too westoxified, too athiest, too loose, too materialistic, too Islamaphobic, too repressive of Muslims. But all that does not matter whit coz they are Pakistan's strategic allies.

Pakistan needs to beef itself up economically and make hay while the sun shines on the relationship....so it can be more choosy in long term.

Certainly hope so but things look grim despite being blessed with a great leader in PM IK. The problem is Pakistan as a country has been built into a ideological state as the vanguard and citadel of Islam. Of course it's all a deception but everybody now haas been caught up in this delusion. Nobody dare question this. Everybody is busy peddling more piety, more Islam then the next guy with the mullahs trying to take what they consider as thier right because they are guardians of Islam. Surely a a state built up on the edifice of Islam [or properly pretending to be] must have at it's core the mullahs.

This collective hoax is now suffocating the state. Trade, business, pragmatism take back seat. Meantime we still have stomachs and hunger. When that bites and peity/Islam can't feed us we head off to the west in droves as migrants with our families all supporting this venture in hope that said migrant once settled in the west will remit money to keep the clan going.

Good news is rising nationalism in the youth might be able to bring some balance to Pakistani political system

This is why even though I disagree with some of the details (and agree with other ones) of what you say regarding Indus valley civ and Pakistan local history (as it pertains to the Pakistan nation state today)...I support wholeheartedly the larger picture.... that you are doing your bit to get Pakistan to focus on itself rather than everyone else but itself.

The degree to which promoting identity and uniqueness of Pakistan rather than whatever dull commonality with outsiders is always indication to where the power exertion direction flows and the self-esteem of a society (and really that is what fundamentally determines the success in all timeframes of a country). My friend, it is hard sometimes...and I appreciate your perseverance on it....my goodness I have come across some nasty words ppl have said about you in all kind of nooks and crannies in this forum. But you owe it to your country to do what you do and speak your clear mind (come what may), not them!
