My friend, it is hard sometimes...and I appreciate your perseverance on it....my goodness I have come across some nasty words ppl have said about you in all kind of nooks and crannies in this forum. But you owe it to your country to do what you do and speak your clear mind (come what may), not them!

I am going to be 56. In that time I have in real life faced some of the worst that life can throw at you. I have been in trough so deep that you could not see any ray of light leave alone sunshine. I have lost everything but then regained everything twice over, health, family and money. Having weathered all that I won't even give the steam of my piss to those who say nasty words on cyberspace. It matters nought.

Going back to the subject in hand. I keep bashing my head against the wall. Even if it gives me a illusion that I have done someything, that is better then nothing. I have my views. I know they have solid grounding. This may come across as a arrogant but I simply regard myself as more intelligent then the most of the riff/raff here and in the real world. And as note. I actually don't have nothing particularly against India. But nationalism is weed that prospers on hatred for another. And India fits that bill !

Ps. Most narrative that underpins nation states is mix of myth, legend, fables and fact. But that does not matter. As long as the masses become indocrinated in that fable it creates a binding force that overcomes trhe traditional tribal, clan or regional cracks that exst in all states. Take USA. What exactly is the foundation of that country? Bunch of second rate British leavings with dollop of other Europeans and dose of African slaves on a conquered land of natives. Yeh lets go for "freeeeedom". And the "American dream". Wtf????

That matters jot. Fact is it has worked better then Pakistan's. Indians are Indians for India. Pakistan's are for ... well. I don;t even know where to begin but listing every Muslim on earth might be a good start !

Good news is rising nationalism

There is but I have my doubts. Maybe I am too cynical in my old age. But the fact is this nationalism is clothed in religion. A religion that does not bekong to or exclusive to Pakistan. Instead it is spread out over 1.6 billion people in 40 countries across the globe. Hell even our nemesis India has nearly as many Muslims as Pakistan. Nationalism by it's very name is relevant to a nation state. Not a diffused religion across the entire globe.

Well like a lot old folks like you I understand your cynical views but I think if the younger folks seem to be more balanced than the last gen who grew up in 70s and 80s and early 90s this gen has seen just stagnation and see's other countries pacing forward so there is some hope

Which actually is not rocket science. It's there in the constitution of the country. The very genetic code that makes Pakistan. What is that? Simple.

A federation of four [five] provinces that have Islamabad as their centre. Meaning a federation of Punjab, Afghania [K-Pk], Kashmir, Sindh, Balochistan. That is a unique collage that you will not get anywhere else on earth. That is why Muslim Somalia, Muslim Algeria, Muslim Bangladesh, Muslim Malaysia will never resemble Pakistan.

This is what makes Pakistan unique.

Certainly hope so but things look grim despite being blessed with a great leader in PM IK. The problem is Pakistan as a country has been built into a ideological state as the vanguard and citadel of Islam. Of course it's all a deception but everybody now haas been caught up in this delusion.
