Pakistan wanted to be an Islamic nation, They Got it. They all are happy to be Muslim and then Pakistani.

We wanted to be a Secular nation, We Got it and we are Happy to be Indian. Religion secondary and personal choice.

Whatever - It was good for India and i am sure good for Pakistan too. Both Should be Happy.

True. secular country where one hindu dont eat the food cooked by another lower hindu ..where religious riots happened very often ...where peoples killed their daughters for doing marriage with person of different religion..where minorities are being discriminated and kept poor and used for vote banks..where state oppressed the rights of Kashmir peoples.

You cant change society in just 60 years. But I will tell you in that 60 years there has been more change in those social issues then in the last 1000 years.

Its telling you something that in this 60 some year. India already had a Dalit President and right now a Dalit that's leading the largest state in terms of population in India.

Don't allow me to post things about Pakistan and what's happening in Pakistan. I really don't want to. You have little knowledge about other religion and Why are you bothered about any religion of India. Take care of yourself Man. We are Indians. I have not used anything religious for India in this thread

There are more religious riots happened in Karachi than whole India.

Kashmir - I don't want to say as i am fed up with posting same thing every now and then for ages on so many sites.

I can change my religion for Nation. But I can't change My Nation. For me, My Religion is not so important compare with My Nation. Not Hard to Understand.

Anyway, The Topic is not which is better Secular or Religious Nations. We are Happy with our Secular Nation and you are happy with Islamic Nation. What's the Fuss About ?? No one is saying anything to you, So you also don't have right to say. We are Happy being Indian and I am sure You are also Happy. We will see in 2047 and will do post mortem on occasion of 100 year of Celebrations) Till then Enjoy !!

well if we read the history of partition we will get the clear pictures that how some Indian national leaders tried their best to destroy the Muslims dream of separate lands and distribution of funds, lands and resources was very unfair and they tried their best that Pakistan don't survive long after partition and they are still doing the same.. best of luck my Indian brothers

Not to mention that we are taught about all religion in school and are taught to respect each and every religion...

Partition has not changed India a bit, we still are living with Huge no. of Muslims and living peacefully, here you will find muslim reading Bhagwat Geeta and hindu reading Quran or Bible, In India its not a crime to practice other religion , So Jinnah's dream of forming a safe heaven for minorities is a failed concept (his safe heaven has become a death zone) as today, neither west nor Arab but India is world's safest place for Muslims..

Cant we just live and let live instead of having these pointless discussions on what we lost and gained from Partition? Whats done is done, Pakistan and India are realities, look towards the future now. We should obviously try to have good relations, but all these unification talks and how life would have been wonderful if partition hadn't occurred make no sense to me!

partition helped India. but, sadly the new country of Pakistan will be an eternal enemy for India. it is proved from the first days of Independence

I believe, many parts of current day Pakistan has a completely different culture, especially Sindh and westwards and are not the same people . it was a need to partition as they are culturally also closer to middle east in many ways rather than Bharat.

No Point in Discussion, As these things will attract More Flame and Troll.

Everyone is happy the way it is and that should be Fair enough.

Better to Close the Thread.
