What caused overpopulation in Pakistan?

With record inflation, I am quite sure this year lesser babies will be born.
What link does inflation have with birthrate.one of the causes of high population growth is said to be poverty.

In the US, among the very religious lot at least.. they view contraception as being sinful.

Same in Pakistan ?

I'm sure in the next couple decades, we're going to be having the opposite discussion.

At the tail end of 2022, it was reported 800k people left. That's gone over a million by now and doesn't include the 100s of thousands that leave illegally.

So you lost 1.5+ million people in a year, doesn't seem like a lot at 0.7% of the total population. But you have to consider a lot of these people are in child bearing years 20's, and 30's. In some cases even the illegal migrants take their kids with them.

Guaranteed.

Nobody talks or writes of agriculture. We got way too much fertile land:
when you look at the lives of common man, other than dealing with massive stagflation and a bleak fututre, sex is the only entertainment they have!

But sexual arousement and massive births cannot be possible without all those calories. How do you account for Baloch people and Gulf Arabs to have such small populations? They just don't have much fertile land.

Thousands have been going to Saudi and other gulf countries for decades and most return after some years They can't get citizenship in Middle East nations.

Yearning for a male child in poor village people, one cause.

More Children are regarded as an asset and an investment in lower middle and village folks, for obvious, different reasons.

Like in educated rich families, more than two, three children raises eyebrows, in villages and small towns less than 6 children raises questions.

Only a higher literacy, of female specially, and higher HDI will lead to a balancing act.

ME is just a fraction of where our people go.
It's food supply. Human carrying capacity is determined by food and same for animals https://mahb.stanford.edu/wp-conten...pacity-is-Determined-by-Food-Availability.pdf

but probably not for farming communities.
Farmers lost a lot last year in the floods. Billions of dollars of crops washed out.
Climate change is predicted to decrease agricultural output in this part of the world.

We're a net importer of wheat, will continue to be, that too without the foreign exchange to do so.

Which will only continue fueling population growth. Even if it's imported, it's still a lot of food.

The old 'smelly' Saathi is still Rs. 5. , but no one wants to use it anymore. Flavored ones are over Rs. 150 each. Nobody buying that, unless the 🐥 comes with it.😁😃😎

Why do we need 16 pages when all you need is a line graph.
