What's new

What cars are good?

- what's your budget?
- how many km/year do you do on average?
- You buying/leasing/salary packaging?
- 4 door/coupe/wagon?
- what do you currently drive?
- how old are you?

Come on man...you gotta give us more!

Some of these questions are irrelevant. I do travel quite a bit hence why I mentioned 'good on fuel'. I want a 4/5 door. I also don't care if it's not the 'latest' model as long as it's maintained, because the engines are pretty much the same except the shape which only has *very* slight changes.

figure it out and let me know of your conclusion

comprehension me......this is you: "BTW I have buying Range Rover Velar" now read that to your self until you realise what you should have meant.

anyway now you have made it clear your buying a velar and you have been driving for 10 years makes sense.
why didn't you say that in the first place??

i passed 8/9 years ago and the car i drive in was a vw golf but once i passed i used public transport ever since last summer when i splashed out on a gt. the jump is HUGE which i regret.

That's the reason I asked If u are muslim and trying to make fun of anything involving blasphemy then I request u to read more and if u are not muslim then u sud stop involving ur self with this topic.
It's a very sensitive issue and if teasing that, people u who commit blasphemy get anything they want then I recommend u not to even tease.
I hope u know exactily what exactily u said.

Hi,

I'm looking into a new car, my car knowledge isn't great but I do love the German Whips. Their car craft and precision is something else.
I want something that lasts long, is reliable and good on fuel.

Which would you say is good and why?

•BMW

•Mercedes-Benz

•Audi

Many thanks,

Divergent.
the one u can buy !!

I own a 2008 Saab 95 Aero, a very fast and reliable car but it is getting a bit difficult to find spare part so I am been looking for replacement myself. My wife has an old Merc E220 CDI, but with the pollution problems with the diesel fuel, a petrol engine is preferable. My son drives a 2007, 5 Series BMW, however I find that my Saab is far more reliable as he keeps borrowing my Saab because his car is having some problem. Before this my son had an Audi A4, I am afraid to say that Audi was also not as reliable as a Merc or a SAAB.

I have recently test driven a Lexus IS 250 and found it extremely satisfying. ‘Which?’ Magazine rates Lexus as one of the most reliable cars in the UK. I also test drove a Honda Accord, good car but my head was touching the roof. I can’t afford a new car, thus I shall keep looking until I find a used automatic Lexus IS 250 that I like.

I would seriously suggest that if you are looking for a sporty 4 door Saloon, test drive a Lexus before making your mind up.

I dont know about Saab but I have been using Merc since 1995 and different models and it is quite reliable.

What on earth are you on about . Using the word "blasphemy" doesn't automatically mean committing blasphemy. o_O

Why is this going from a simple only 'car discussion' to Blasphemy? Stick to the subject. Thank you.

A fine example of Indian engineering if I ever saw one 8-)8-):-):-):p::p:.

i recommended a range rover (owned by the indians)
@Kaptaan gets it
its a joke.

how much do you have to spend?

This is between the new 2017 4 series, A4, C class. This is what my brother and I concluded during his purchase recently. Selected was a fully kitted A4.

Best handling feedback, interior is OK = BMW
Best Looks in & out, floaty handling feedback (merc's traction control is not as good as BMW) = C Class
Good handling + decent looks + lots of goodies + cheaper price + most legroom in rear = A4

I'm old so I drive an older S class - I think these are fantastic value for money second hand cars if looked after ..
