Guys I am amazed how much anger there is on both sides, in twenty minutes or so, this thread has gone to seven pages. I am hoping for peace among your hearts. Shall return later.

.
Have you seen the people in those videos especially the school kids and university students? Libaas wise and thinking wise I see no difference at all among even middle class peole.

Why are we always speaking and working to accentuate differences (to the Indians' benefit)? Ummah chummah aside - our cultures are IDENTICAL as far as I have seen. Other than language it is the same.

In California - I have tons of Pakistani friends and I go to their house all the time. We pray in the same jamaat, we break iftar together with a chilled glass of Pakola, women in our families speak about identical feminine concerns. The decency codes (sharafat) among our cultures are the same.

What difference??

It's a myth.

Yup saw in the video they look exactly the same as Pakistanis as in facial structure, build, skin colour no difference what so ever, how we look exactly the same as a Somalian.

I appreciate your well intentions but you are incorrect. If differences did not exist 1971 would not have happened. You rejected every attempt by West Pakistan to integrate into West Pakistani culture. Why? Because you have your own cultural and ethnic identity which you wanted to preserve and you viewed us as foreigner imposing our culture upon you.

Chechen people are also very similar to Pakistanis in some cultural sense, yet they are not the same as us.

And before Western imperialism Bengal region was always separate from region of Pakistan. We are very different people.

Yup everyone in Bangladesh is genetically same as us, tall and very fair skinned, green eyed and goldish hair, speaks iranic language just like me.

Fine - send us some model shots sometime. Happy for your 'Iranic' heritage.

To say every Pakistani looks "very fair skinned, green eyed and (with) goldish hair" is a myth.

I have plenty of Pakistani friends. None of them fit this description. Even my 'Iranic' friends don't. Silly me - huh? :P

If you offered Bangladeshis a magic pill to look like you -I wonder how many would take you up on that offer...

Racial superiority discussion is a slippery slope. Educated people typically will not go into it.

Exactly. We might as well open a thread about what Morocco thinks about Pakistan

Cringe worthy thread.

Literally this is the best this twit can come up with for BD STRONK lol:

You remember it was Ziaur Rahman who initiated SAARC.

Whoooo SAARC....like the UN but 1000000++ times smaller and worse!

While we're at it, lets open up a thread about what the Eskimos think of us. They are about as relevant to us as the bengalis are.

Watch out, billu has already released the 1st stage of "yer probably just a false flagging Indian/sanghi" alert

He's a good comic that one :enjoy: @django

Honestly I'm not sure who this @DANCING GIRL person is opening up threads like these to embarrass us Pakistanis as if our self image must depend on the approval of Bangladeshis. Cringey thread.

Why can't some Pakistanis feel comfortable in their own skin for once? Fortunately for the rest of Pakistan such people are dwindling in numbers.

The main issue in 1971 was not culture but self-rule. Mujib did win the popular mandate and was fully within his rights to become PM of Pakistan. However Bhutto colluded with the generals and we know the 'rest'.

The situation could have been 'handled' much better, as dozens of your talk shows already have established.

Bengalis were complicit as well - some were Indian sycophants.

The best solution would have been self rule (maybe separate currencies and economy) to placate all sides. But Bhutto did not agree to Mujib's proposals (Chhey Dafa). Instead of dividing up the house peacefully, 'aag laga dia'.

Mujeeb was in the bed with Indians before even the elections.

Well it was good to burn the house down now we are free of your kind.

I disagree. You guys did not want Urdu, and after the war you altered the names of streets named after great statesmen like Jinnah and replaced them with Bangla heroes names. @Psychic

Thirdly, Pakistani media, like all media nowadays, is full of people willing to sell short their country for fame and fortune so they are the worst people to go by in this regard.

So no chummah for Somalians? Some of them are pretty decent Muslims.
