What Bangladesh would gain from normalizing relations with Israel?

Can you tell me why are Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Indian madrassa based mullahs so backward and illiterate? Maulanas of Turkey, Malaysia and the western countries are pretty knowledgeabl
I have no idea. But I agree in this case with you. Subcontinent mullahs are basically creepy character. Don't know about Turkish or Malaysian mullahs though.
However it's not only Muslim mullahs, but mullahs from all religion is bad.

...And why do we need Israel for technology? There are other countries who can provide better technology than Israel.
You're not reading the article correctly. The author is not really arguing that Bangladesh should normalize relations with Israel to obtain better technology.

It was a simple answer of question of another user.

I know but I've had trouble getting the @ tag function working today. Appears to be fixed now. Still, do you understand the author's point?

When BD can allow a Israeli funded magazine to be published uninterrupted from Dhaka then the relation seems not that bad to begin with.
Weekly Blitz is a israeli owned newspaper.

Pharmaceuticals,

o!
So this is MOD being biased or you being harassed and punished unnecessarily?

If a warning is issued on this post do you sincerely and honestly think it is uncalled for?

Also Israel does not need to be directly involved in order to consolidate it's influence in Bangladesh. India and Myanmar, the two surrounding neighbours of Bangladesh, are staunch allies of Israel, Also most of the western countries are pro israel and I'm pretty sure west has it's influence in Bangladesh.

Some of the Bengalis on here make me think Bangladesh is finished..

Look at the clubs and discos and the modern dress of Burmese females and decide whether Myanmar is backward or not?
It's funny that a country like Bangladesh where people wear Burqa and Lungi is calling Myanmar backward.

Yes Myanmar is very poor and we know it but it is certainly not backward. It is backward only in the wet dream of Bengalis.

Clubbing and such sort is the definition of not backwards? Sometimes I think the white man has definitely sold us the dream. I realized how dense some of you posters are..

Nilgiri was right.

Stop blaming the "mullahs" and look towards your policy makers, look at the attitudes of the common people. You'll find the fault.

I wonder what technology you are talking about when it is Israel. In the case of a foreign FDI, the company will import its machines. In the case of locally-owned factories, I do not understand how it is possible for Israel to teach them any technologies when they will just purchase the machines from foreign sources. Israel is irrelevant here.

Moreover, our people do not have the capability of absorbing high technology. We have so far not tried or built ourselves any machines that produce consumer goods. Think any item, all are imported, even the small pump machines for water. So, what is your point on insisting in favor of Israel?

Recognizing Israel is a political decision, nothing is there with technology transfer. By the way, what technology Israel transferred to India so far?

You can determine whats going on somewhat by key (smaller details) in trade composition too:

He deserve a long term ban and it is long overdue. His only purpose in this sub section is trolling and flame bait. He does copy paste and spamming and tag number of other people for this purpose. In past he used to get ban frequently but in recent time it is not done. As a result it encouraged him to even use mod’s name for this purpose. Last time he used waz’s name. Waz just deleted post but not sure if warning was provided or not. Plus this poster is encouraging people to move out of this forum.

Things Bangladesh will gain:
1. Wrath of our own mullahs who will call for destruction of the govt and implementation Sharia law in Bangladesh.
2. Wrath of GCC countries who will send back our workers working in ME. Even though those GCC countries have decent relation with Israel under the table.
3. Muslim world calling for boycotting Bangladesh. Even though they don't boycott Turkey or Egypt. But Bangladesh is small and easy to bully.

Basically we should have recognized Israel right after 71. Would have been easier then. Now it will be a dangerous gamble that I doubt any govt would like to take.
