What's new

What Bangladesh would gain from normalizing relations with Israel?

Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and UAE recognize Israel. Soon Saudi Arabia will join the list.

Arab states are throwing in the towel and for good reasons.

163 of the 193 UN member states recognize Israel.

US decided to move its embassy to Jerusalem. Guatemala, Czech Republic and Paraguay followed suit. Malawi and Serbia have committed to opening embassies in Jerusalem.

World has moved on and we are stuck in the past.
Some Muslim countries specially those who gained independence from USSR and Yugoslavia inherited their diplomatic relationship with Israel from mother countries. Such as Central Asian 'Stans' Azerbaijan, Bosnia etc.

Some anti Arab, ultra secular Muslim countries initially recognized Israel. Such as Iran and Turkey. Since then Iran transformed into mortal enemy of Israel and now many Israeli consider Turkey to be their biggest enemy country.

Egypt had little option but to establish relation with Israel to recover their Sinai. They have fought with Israel 4 times and can be excused if no longer wish to continue the hostility. Their peace with Israel is an uneasy cold peace. Egypt still consider Israel to be their greatest security threat if you look at their arms acquisition spree.

Jordan established relation with Israel at the height of Oslo peace optimism. When it was thought that the establishment of a Palestinian state is only a matter of time. Jordan share a long border with Israel, they are much vulnerable in front of the military might of Israel. So they had little choice but to normalize relation with Israel. Jordan's peace with Israel is also a cold and uneasy peace.

But now what UAE and some other gulf Arab countries are doing is purely for selfish national interest, devoid of any ethics. A stab in the back of the Palestinian people. This is certainly not the path Bangladesh or any major Muslim countries should follow.

As long as Indonesia(1st), Pakistan(2nd), Bangladesh(3rd), Turkey(5th), Iran(6th), Malaysia, Iraq, Syria and Maghreb countries remain steadfast in their opposition to normalize relation with Israel, Israel can not claim they have won the recognition of global Muslims. So, Bangladesh which has 3rd largest Muslim population in the world has to take some responsibility to lead the Muslim world. Our fast growing economy and military can make us one of the important player in the Muslim world in coming years.

We should hear the collective voice of the Muslims. Non Muslims don't care about Muslim Palestinians, if we Muslims also abandon them then where they will go? Western countries would have never established Israel in holy land by displacing native population if Palestinian were a Christian nation. So you may deny, but Palestinian-Israeli conflict has a religious dimension.

Not sure about our military might in the future but by 2034 our economy is expected to be at 1.2 trillion dollars (nominal) which is the 4th largest among all Muslim countries (only Indonesia, Turkey and Saudi Arabia ahead of us), 25th largest globally.

Sometime in this decade, the government will have to form an actual foreign policy, this false notion of "Friendship to all, Malice to none" must be discarded.

Big things await Bangladesh, but we are woefully unprepared, those in power are short sighted.

Apart from Saudi Arabia, the rest of the Arabs will lose their economic influence, so expect new partnership and alliances to be formed.

Israel is just biding it's time, they know at the end of the day, all the powerful Muslim nations of today will recognise them.

What Bangladesh does, remains to be seen.

Ironically, recognition of Israel is probably the only move that is remaining that will ensure the awami leaague stays in power for the next 20 years .

Any Muslim country which take an independent foreign policy path and care about citizen's opinion is bound to develop dislike of Israeli policies. Look at the transfromation of Turkey. From the biggest regional ally into biggest regional nemesis of Israel. This is because, Erdogan represent the majority of Turkish people's voice. This is why, nothing Israel fear more than a democratic Middle East. Zionists are much more comfortable with Sheikhdom and corrupt dictators .

That’s the point you let your ignorance and over pretentiousness cloud your logical thinking. Bd and Israel already conduct trade worth millions... and as for your values on civility and morality... that you’ve shown on the post you got called out on by @Bilal9. Do yourself a favor and cut some slack, you’re believer of ideals that simply do not exist, the world is not perfect and nor are you, so stop pretending
People may sell out but that doesnt means that moral and ethical standards also change. They remain wat they are. I know alot more about LOGOS than you think. And if i attacked you in the earlier post that was also for a reason that u might not comprehend. But trust me it was not meant for u at all, but had a different purpose. so dont take offense.

Ideals do exist and the civilised world is built on it. Nations were liberated based on those ideals. Even ours. REMEMBER THE UPRISING OF 52 DEAR BROTHER ? Was it for ethics and moral ? or was it for material benefits and good commerce? that UPRISING was for our very spirit my man. 'Mora ekti ful ke bachabo bole juddho kori" Our struggle for liberation was also centered around moral sentiments so dont tell me these things dont exist.

You can believe wat you want to. You said that i was PRETENTIOUS, if there is a pretender between the two of us, its not me. Its YOU.

You made good precise points here. I agree with the foreign policy statement and also about our short sightedness. Preparations are needed not just for nations to face calamities, its needed even to reap the rewards of the future.

Isreal is doing watever it is doing including biding time but its plots failed in Syria and Yemen. Iran's indigenous war machine is marching on each day. The axis of resistance (Consisting of Iran, Labanese Hezbollah, Iraqi PMU, Houthi movement in Yemen) are the most formidable force right now in the middle east and they are under the Command of the IRGC.

These forces are being armed by state of the art military hardware and missiles that are precision guided. So Israel's enemies are not sitting idly. It always had one goal. To put it out of business permanently. so lets see how things unfold militarily. Because in case of Israel and its enemies ,I think the destinies of both will be decided militarily not by other means

Moral and ethical standards is defined by humans and are fluid in nature... what was acceptable a hundred years back isn’t acceptable now. Anyone who is not accepting of this fact isn’t not only an over pretentious flute but so an ignorant sod.
I could care less of what little comprehension level you possess but if you had anything close to a level of an average human being and not a chimpanzee, you would have refrained from your animalistic King Kong moral standards.
offense is something I would take on a post of that joke of an human being, nilgiri... your attempt at trying to get a reaction out of me was just pathetic, so no offense taken.
civilizations weren’t built from day one on same principles, but that might be beyond comprehension of Someone who suffers from dunning Kruger effect.
israels struggle from Palestine was of the same kind that bd’s people had with Pakistan and I’m sure most Pakistanis would be delighted to agree with me here, although I don’t support Israel’s creation or the Balfour declaration, the conditions were created by the Muslim Arabs betraying the ottoman sultanate, so it’s meek to bring ethics and moral here in the first place. Especially when two wars have been fought and both lost. The Israelis earned their right to exist, Palestinians who accepted Israeli citizenship are living with the basic human rights and opportunities and have turned their life into something fruitful, but this won’t be understood with someone who hasn’t lived with people of this region.
Last but not the least, another pretentious statement. I might have an ego but you’re just a depressed sod enjoying everything the western world has to offer (ie also supporting Israeli businesses indirectly) but you’re to arrogant to admit that and so I say adios to you

First and foremost, NO. Moral and ethical standards are not defined by sum Pretentious Michael Corleone Figure on PDF. And this point has been validated by centuries of philosophical traditions from thinkers from the Birthplace of Logos itself (A Sod is a man such as yourself who does not know the meaning of the word Logos). And according to their teachings/traditions morality, logic and ethics are ONE AND THE SAME, and are CONSTANT.

Secondly, since you are yourself an intellectually handicapped orangutan without the comprehension of logic/ethic , which are indistinguishable as defined by men who passed on the dogma that the civilized world has now seemingly incorporated, you seem to assume that all of us are a bunch of Orangutans like yourself.

Mr. Michael Corleone, you know nothing about a stranger and the way he lives. You do not know my lifestyle nor do u care about it. So why make such a nonsensical comment about me contributing to zionist businesses indirectly. Let me tell you clearly, you do not have any knowledge of whose economy I contribute to, only I do. So shussshh.

Its funny you say that I am the one in Possession of King Kong animalistic morality. Nice choice of words there. Obviously you haven't visited a library too often in your life. I am the one lectured by a man who isn't capable of realizing the just nature of the cause of the downtrodden nor the nature of rationality itself, a total intellectually inept orangutan with a sub par understanding of the essence of laws that guide our very universe.

Last but not the least SOD, I am not depressed, I am entirely a happy man. I have found peace in myself and God has given me joy in life, alot more so than I see in others. Why assume ? whats up with all the assumptions Don Corleone? :D :D

To conclude , since you said Adios to me, I'll quote Michael Corleone himself from Godfather 3,

" You wanna do business with me? Fine, I'll do business with you". - Michael Corleone to Don Lucchesi.
Alright pine headed pleb, stop putting words in people’s mouth. If you can’t comprehend basic information it’s not my problems. :disagree:

Clever skut is what you’re. Cop on yourself and the head on you, all you’ve been doing is divert and blameshift with a lot of fluting about, but then I can’t blame a narc for that. There’s a name for people like you in our field, gaslight :rofl:

Instead of trying to prove my earlier points wrong that ve got your tits up your *** for which you got called out by @Bilal9 :argh::argh::argh::argh::argh: All you’re doing now is whining about shit you have little experience about

As for using “King Kong” and whatever since those are the only words you understood and came back at me for... (Cc. @DalalErMaNodi :azn::rofl:)
I’m not even gonna respond to your question on my intellect or “my time at the library” since I’ve already gauged the level of yours. You’ve missed much more subtle jabs  :argh: :blah: (frankly worse than calling you a chimpanzee and king Kong) I’ve thrown your way which you should have come back for... atleast then I would have been properly shitfaced... good effort though “D- “:big_boss:

@DalalErMaNodi told you... he’s gonna come back at me for the obvious and miss what he shouldn’t have missed... he’s not a kid since a smart kid would have buried me for what I called him above  but all he comprehended was king Kong and chimpanzee... he just types like a kid... but i expect nothing more from someone who beats himself up every ashura

it’s easy to fool the eye, but it’s hard to fool the heart :azn: :azn: :azn:

Well for one, I'm glad, I didn't miss this round, last time I showed up the messages were deleted and I had to put the pieces together by reading Bilal bhais quotes.

Anyway, you've both made your points and at this juncture, it has become clear beyond any shred of doubt that the two of you are taking this in two different ways, neither side really responding to the others argument but instead going at each others throats; good old loggerhead'ing.

Now as much as I enjoyed this vitriol filled punch-up, I think it's time you guys put an end to it.

You've both made your statements, everything has been said and done, let's not take it any further, it's already quite grotesque as it is.

So, why don't you both cool off and do something to take our minds off, If it helps, you guys can ogle at my supremely artistic expression of my soul through the art of dancing here :

Be good now, no more arguing.

Ignore each other, if required.

Ps: If you're still going to argue and not heed to the sane voice of reason, which is me in this case, TAG ME before you start the next round.

Ps² : Don't, In all honesty, start a follow up round, we don't need to abuse this thread anymore than it has already been, besides we're making ourselves look like a fractured nation.

Michael Corleone can respond to it if he wishes but im done with boxing today but i enjoyed this bout tbh. Good contest :D :D. Apologies if any of my words and behaviour was in true inappropriate ( OH SHIT ) . LOVE AND PEACE TO ALL. EVEN TO MR. CORLEONE

If

If you hadnt noticed from all my posts about you DUMB****, I have stated since Post#1 that you pretend to be a grumpy wise man and I called you out on being an intellectually incompetent pretender who portrays himself to be bigger than wat he actually is.

Now you didnt notice that one did you F***FACE? I mean how wud you? I noticed all ur insults you naive BONEHEAD , but did you notice that I always emphasized on your own battle with the Dunning - Kruger effect? I mean you know why I attacked you Meathead? Its because of the reason that in your lil world of delusion you act like an all knowing WISE*** creep which you clearly arent, nd its very obvious.

So listen to me PUNK , You didnt notice the underlying stiff jabs i always threw at you for 12 FREAKING ROUNDS, did you? Instead you as an assumer ( thats wat ppl suffering from the Dunning- Kruger effect effectively are), who assumed that i didnt notice it. WHILE you Little IDIOT have missed the same SH*T the whole time.

The POINT of my arguement about you was to highlight the fact that YOU ARE A SOD WHO OVERESTIMATES HIMSELF and pretends to be a wise old fool. WHY ELSE DO YOU THINK I STARTED CALLING YOU PRETENDER ON THE POST THAT GOT DELETED? (POST1) Read my first post in response to you. So all this you took the same insult from me without even realising it. So whose the DIPSTICK now JACK*** ??:rofl::rofl:
O Karen is angry, I better not waste my time reading this, reported :blah: :blah: :blah: :argh::argh::argh:

Personal attacks for post made years ago and not even directed towards him, don’t even know the dude. Read the quoted message from @Bilal9 post, didn’t even know this guy but that’s the type of response for which he already got flak and later deleted... I’ve nothing else to say... atleast I don’t claim to have morals and “ethics=logic” And then proceed to call people f***face or jack@ss
And kudos for playing the victim card, the voiceless Palestinians roam with Israeli passport and state scholarships in my university. :argh: :argh: :argh:
anyways look into this user who flamebaits and delete his post and then acts like a damsel

So he reported my response to this post in which he called me names such as "Pine headed Pleb", "clever skut", "Dick****. Also points towards me beating myself at ashura (never done that ever). I just responded in kind which in my opinion is fair. And prior to that he was sympathizing with the STATE OF ISRAEL and I was speaking on behalf of my Palestinian brothers and the voiceless muslims. So it was fair.He reported me but he did go at me before i went at him so it was a response from me. Proportionate response.
