What are the largest/most power companies on the planet?

@Auz

You seem a bit too infatuated by that saudi company?
It is generally believed that saudis overstate their oil reserves by as much as 40% to keep the prices down.

. .
Its definitely Aramco, many people dont know about it because it does not go to Stock market. Its far beyond China petroleum and SinoPec.

Also, you might be surprised, but Saudi Aramco invests money in magazines, environmental projects etc just to keep itself under the radar.

Media talks about 'big bad evil corporations' but you'll never hear something about Saudi Aramco. Why? Because they "invest" in 'cross-cultural' events, soft power etc. They do everything to keep themselves under the radar of global public.

@Auz

You seem a bit too infatuated by that saudi company?

Probably yes, but not entirely. But I was shock when I realized how mammoth Saudi Aramco is...

Also, its my contender for number one so just making arguments for my choice..

It is generally believed that saudis overstate their oil reserves by as much as 40% to keep the prices down.

Any link? I don't believe in conspiracy theories. Saudis don't need to over-state anything..They have more oil than water...

. . .
Yes, and these things make it probably the largest/most powerful company of the world too..No competition at home, ultra-edge over other competitors globally and what not.

Saudi Aramco's cost of production is LEAST among ALL oil companies globally..so this is also an advantage..

I know its not traded publicly, but the "estimated" market capitalization is $10 trillion according to financial times ...

That's only an advantage If you are a member of Saudi Royal Family.

The total assets of Saudi Aramco worth well over $20 to $35 trillion !!!!!

Saudi Aramco holds 260 billion barrels of oil reserves...the oil price right now is $93 per barrel...but lets make it $80 per barrel over average...Saudi Aramco's oil reserves alone worth over $20 trillion at $80 per barrel !!!

Mind you, Saudi Aramco also holds fourth largest natural gas reserves, then it has assets in Europe, U.S , China, Japan, Far East etc...It has its own super tankers, airports, cities (yes, Saudi Aramco has its own cities!!!!!), and what not?

So the "total assets" of Saudi Aramco are atleast $25 trillion!!!

PS. Saudi Aramco is working on drilling new oil and natural gas reserves in Saudi Arabia. The total project is worth $60 billion and Saudi Aramco is confident that other than 260 billion barrels it already holds, it will find atleast 200 billion barrels more oil in Saudi deserts, Persian gulf, and Red Sea!!!

Now you understand why I put Saudi Aramco as world's largest/most powerful company!

Yeah,Yeah..They can move and shake the oil prices as they please.But if they do that US will kick the House of Sauds out of power.:lol:Russian oil companies have even more power than these guys.Look how they kept Oil prices high in recent years to finance Russia budget.

.
AUZ, wtf you on about?

You keep repeating saudi's oil reserves (which are inflated by 40%, just like how the reserves of all OPEC countries are inflated for more production rights) and then connecting it to Aramco. Saudi oil reserves aren't assets of Aramco. Venezuela has more oil than the ME combined and they're a socialist nation with a nationalized oil industry. By your logic, PDVSA of Venezuela is richer than Aramco.

And why do you care so much? Such a weird thing to have a crusade over.

One last thing, even if Saudi's oil reserves were assets of Aramco, which they are not, you're calculating their worth based on today's prices. Oil was priced less than 20 dollars a barrel not too long ago. It's a commodity and it fluctuates. But this is all irrelevant b/c Aramco doesn't own this oil. They're not even a publicly traded company for god's sake. So you can't put them in the same category as Apple, Shell and Foxconn. It's a state owned enterprise and the owner is the Saudi Arabian government.

What does this has to do with the topic?

Even if whole Saudi Aramco is owned by 1 donkey, it still doesn't make it any less of a powerful company.

We are discussing the most powerful/largest companies of the world. Who owns them, doesn't matter.

Yeah,Yeah..They can move and shake the oil prices as they please.

If I was the CEO of Saudi Aramco, 'price' of oil would be of LEAST importance on my agenda ;) Go figure "why" it would have been the case.

Saudis want prices to be somewhere around $70-$80 ...
But if they do that US will kick the House of Sauds out of power.:lol:

and india will land on mars...

and England will invade Greece...France will launch a nuclear strike on United States and so on..

There is no end to retarded, unfounded assumptions.

Please stick to 'facts' ........

Russian oil companies have even more power than these guys.Look how they kept Oil prices high in recent years to finance Russia budget.

:rofl::lol:

Here's a hint : When Russian companies keep the price higher, it makes Saudi Aramco even MORE powerful ..duhh

Russian companies (even if you combine them!!!) are still a little mouse infront of giant Saudi Aramco.

Please, post the revenues of largest Russian oil company..and then its market capitalization..value of total assets..then we'll compare figures to Saudi Aramco..

No one is crusading..

Just post your choice...my second choice is Google anyways..

PS. You are wrong about the bold part. Saudi Aramco owns almost all of Saudi oil reserves...

Saudi Aramco holds 260 billion barrels of oil currently
