What an Afghanistan Victory Looks Like Under the Trump Plan

US will fund ISIS to undermine Taliban.

That will be counterproductive and has been such in the past.

US will not want to give Russia another reason to meddle in Astan as such they want to retain that area due to its strategic importance.

. .
The only solution to Afghanistan is to make Afghan National Army strong and be able to take Taliban head on. The stone age Taliban has no place in 21st century. The Taliban have to be defeated. And all of the world has to help Afghan government in this. Good that Trump has committed more troops in Afghanistan.

Yes their Afghan families and their Afghan countryside.

If you close your eyes, it's you alone who can't see. Don't expect the world to be blind. :p:

you mean I am a decoy or a dacoit? LoLz....I AM NOT A PAKISTANI....I am a part-Mongoloid Bengali Indian, and have some views of history that may not be agreeable to the mainstream of India
he was famous dacoit like robin hood? idk how it is spelled...

Plenty of space to hide when you control the country-side and are from the local people.

Just like for your Naxals.

LOL, comparing Taliban with Naxalite's ??? they are just confined to the jungle nothing more. It's just that GOI has never decided to use brute force against Naxal's since they are our brothers, the day the government take it as a serious threat, they won't have place to run or hide. :p:

The story is entirely different when it comes to Taliban, Quetta shura is a reality and government of Pakistan had acknowledged that fact on record multiple times. Yet some guy's never feel an IOTA of shame while lying here. LOL :p:

Are you serious? Do you even know the history of Afghanistan? It’s a country incapable of national cohesion, at any level.

Currently reading Steve Coll’s Ghost Wars and he briefly goes over the history of Afghanistan. Even during the best of times, it’s a country run by regionalism, controlled either by warlords or self-serving governors. The writ of national government barely extends beyond Kabul. Does this sound familiar?

As for the supporting the Afghan National Army, the US has spent billion to equip and train this military and they are doing horribly, often running away, surrendering en masse, or just defecting to the other side. Guess what the Soviets also built up the Afghan Army too. I think you know what happened there.

The US attempt to make a nation out of Afghanistan is the latest chapter in a book littered with failures. I ask: why write more?

Afghanistan like Somalia is a nation built upon tribes and clans. Citizens are loyal to their tribes hence the jirga tribal system was used for centuries as it is a recognised part of the Afghan culture. No country can dictate how to change things in AFG. It is up to the Afghan themselves.
Even the Ottoman Empire never dared to touch the tribal folks although they shared the same faith!!!! Even Yavuz Sultan Selim, know as Selim the Terror in Europe, gave a "blank check" to the Kurdish tribal leaders in exchange of their loyalty and supplying with soldiers!!!!

Unfortunate for the USA, they somehow end up with the "weaker soldiers" - be it the South Koreans or South Vietnamese"!!! Although this time they switched to "North" it turned to be the worst!!!!

You're talking about this army?
Don't put too much faith in them.
