What's new

What actually happened? Police Academy Attack

3. why werent funds directed towards walls of college and other security measures.
4. why does this type of situation happen when IK is on some agenda.
3rd point really makes a lot of sense and this is a valid question too and those who're responsible for this no matter who they're should be hanged for this.
For the 4th point i always thought it to be just a conspiracy theory created by PTI and just a coincidence but after this attack i really don't know what to say i am confused.

1
Intelligence Failures do Happen , But Problem is When Intelligence agencies already alert the Academy as it has been up target of attack in past two , Than Why No Proper measures were taken by the Proper management

2
Why Intelligence was not Followed up and Left Totally on The Academy Management , Why they given So much time that they infiltrated the Academy
and than There was No radio jam , or signal jam as they were continuously in contact with there handlers
3
What Will Pakistan do , Will Pakistan Go after the so called Bad Talis against in Pakistan and in Afghanistan ?
If no But These Things Will Keep Happening
I Can See Indian Not Doing these Things In Pakistan because Pakistan do have a ready , and advance army which can fight and counter it to the Whole Next Level , Whats Stopping Pakistan to Chasing These Guys in Other Countries

Yes I understand From Pakistan Armies Point of View that Pakistani Army Dont want to involve itself in Aghinstan for now because all the focus and blame will Shift to Pakistan , and Pakistan Will go into another regional fight and inland fight with Afghanistan ,

But Covert is the Name of the Game Whats Stopping them , Pakistan has Sources there decades of experience there or is ISI capability is way much over exaggerated
Stop Enemies Before they Reach Pakistani Borders and if You See the Current Geo politics of Afghanistan , Pakistan do needs to beef up its option on this border too

No Problem is not that there are no agencies ,
Few Problem
1 Civilian agencies are to corrupt so military doesn't Trust them
2 There is No Regional Corporation between these agencies

Exactly!

Most of the agencies are tied up doing domestic work.

- SSG is deployed in various places around FATA and Balochistan conducting intelligence operations or raids etc.
- ISI is occupied running counter-intelligence across the country.

I think what we need is to fund a new intelligence agency, one that is equipped and trained to deal with domestic operations like the FBI, and another to gather intel from abroad, like the CIA.

otherwise we are stretching our forces too thin, and Zarb-e-Azb is too broad of an operation for just the military to undertake alone.

Additionally the civilian govt. needs to take steps to hold Afghanistan accountable for these attacks, and at least give the go ahead to launch air-strikes against Afghan militant strongholds.

Yes, you are right.

The SSG has specialized teams that are very good at work deep in enemy territory.

The ISI also has a Wing dedicated to external ops --- while Wings like Counter Intelligence and Counter Terrorism (each headed by a Major General) deal with domestic issues. So, in theory, the external wing should not be encumbered by domestic ops --- and should be free (mentally and physically) to focus on hunting down these animals hiding in neighboring countries (and ideally beyond).

You have a valid point and one I have voiced to the relevant authorities mentioned above. India, Israel, the US and Russia all have separate domestic and foreign intel services --- and the foreign services tend to be huge, with monster budgets and massive HQs. All we have is a Wing within an already stretched organization.

@Sarge WE NEED COUNTRY WIDE OPERATIONS, EVERY SUSPECT HOUSE AND FAMILY MUST BE RAIDED, search every hole of this country, like Josef Stalin did it in the UDSSR, hang every day a militant, after such a attack, we need public hanging of enemy spy agents, traitors and terrorists live in TV and Radio. WE NEED A PROPAGANDA MACHINE against Terrorism which works 24 hours.

ALLAH pak jawano ki rouh ko sakoon de or janat mien ala muqam ata farmae Ameen.

Waseem Badami of ARY yesterday told after his conversation with injured cadets tht probably they were called to return back to the academy even after their training had finished, because they were to be called for islamabad dharna....and it was orderd by Additional IG balochistan... First this AIG needs to be interrogated , on whose orders he did tht..and then both should be hanged publicly

Channel 24 was also reporting tht they were called back to academy because they were to be sent to dharna..all of those responsible must be hanged but we know nothing will happen...

Yes, and because for example ISI are tied up at home, it means they cannot allocate as many resources to foreign operations. But i guess that if it was set up then it would be vastly underfunded unless they can lobby govt. into supporting them.

with SSG they are trained for infiltration, but the govt. is unwilling to use them for whatever reason. They should be deployed in Afghanistan to prevent cross-border terrorism from taking place. The Afghans shouldnt care because they dont fully control the territory, and we could justify it as simply taking care of taliban, ISIS, al quieda etc

Could it be that these cadets were meant to be sent to Islamabad hence their arms were taken off them?

If that's the case then PMLN and IG are responsible for all this.

Salute to the Shaheed

Yes..it is true... Many channels are reporting this...injured cadets are saying something along these lines..so its almost comfirmed...

Dont know...how much more blood/treason is required to shakeup up those in power corridors to actually support...rooting out this system..and tht too..soon?
If we look at the crimes of curent govt..list is long...
Model town..14 ppl killed
Dawn case...obvious case of treason
Quetta attack..just because they wanted them for dharna...they called them back to academy..UNARMED
These are just few which came to my mind instantly

But wait...this is Pakistan

I think Gen Raheel & Co., while doing some great work, lack massively in this department. I think the entire team is very NATO-centric, meaning very hesitant to take any covert action that might blow up publicly and cause friction with US Generals.

It was one of the reasons-

What a bunch of morons are these police people, in spite, of earlier such incidents at the same place, and being warned before hand, why wasn't adequate security/detection measures not implemented well in advance, despite being a terrorist prone area.

Pakistan ARMY job is not to protect the police force.

WE SHOULD all SERIOUSLY LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES.

if there was an intelligence than they should have eliminate that threat... why just pass the threat and sit idle.. they should have to give the answer.
Do you understand the role of intelligence and enforcement? Intelligence is information and the intelligence agencies continue to gather the information. But if the time is short and something is imminent they issue the warning, while continuing to get more information if possible. This was more of an administrative failure. We as a nation are reactive and not proactive. We like and dislike using based upon personal feelings and emotions instead of fairness and facts.
