What's new

What a brilliant answer by modi about climate change.

Then you should stay out of it. All you contributed to the defence was hot air.
I presented my opinion on a discussion forum. I wonder what a discussions forum means to you. If you found my comment irrelevant you should have been mature and ignored it, that would have really avoided the "hot air" you followed by.

Modi might be opinionated, but certainly not a fool and not a loose talk. He will never say that there is no climate change, even if he has a different opinion on climate change.

A discussion on a fact, in the form of a verbose diatribe saying what it could have been, what it should have been, what it must have been? Is that what you expect to see and to take part in? Then why refer to the video at all? You might have presented the speech as an article of faith, which was not to be disputed.

The video was either authentic or it was false. If authentic, what discussion was needed? If not, what discussion was needed?

We are the biggest developing country... Despite of keeping us away Nuclear Supplier Group, we are committed to reduce carbon emission.
Our courts & authorities make it were hard now to mine coal withing our country despite of huge coal reserves.
We've the 3 biggest solar power plants in the world out of top 10.
I am not questioning the role of India in CO2 emissions or its effort to reduce CO2 levels. I am questioning the views of Indian prime minster. From his answer there is no such thing as climate change and this is contradictory to actions/efforts of Indian GOVT for their pollution footprint. These powerful people are the ones who play key roles in making policies and if you yourself don't believe there is a problem how are you going to fix it.

"a verbose diatribe saying what it could have been, what it should have been, what it must have been?" .

It was none. It was "What it is" and why the video should be irrelevant.

I will try to enforce the basis for all this again, however difficult it might be for your underdeveloped logic system. I am free to discuss what i want. Unless i target you personally, you can ignore me.

Maybe its hard for your childish ego to let go. I ll be the bigger man here. Sayonara my Internet warrior. May you succeed in life because i don't see yourself succeed in humanly discussions. I wont be replying to your cacophony hereafter. You can take pride in the fact that you "won".

Yes these are just political quotes.... I like how Trump approach isn't politically correct in this regard...thus he decided to moved out.

Even if we all go though the Paris agreement, the temperature could only be reduced by 0.5°C that too by 2100 after spending trillions of dollars,

This is a game to help western countries who want to sell their technology to poor developing countries which actually won't effected that much in the first place.

This whole rise in temperature isn't new thing all the western developed countries are responsible for this sice 1800 industrial revolution.

I am afraid this is not correct and you may not have seen the two videos. I thought the same as you, but the second video, apparently the correct one, posted by @Suriya, makes it clear that the beginning of his little homily was misleading, and that he was sensitive to climate change. He went on to say that the problem should be addressed not merely by administrative measures but by a change in attitudes and behaviour patterns of the human race.

It has to be admitted that he spoke sensibly.

Well said.
The Modi hating gang here know very well the context. As usual they will pretend the context does not exist.

Think on how the richer countries demand more out of poorer countries, while continuing to cause massive pollution. This would widen the gap between the countries. Rich gets richer and poor gets poorer.

When we consider all humans equal, then every human should be allowed equal carbon foot print. Since this does not happen, Modi must speak up against this and highlight the discrepancy.

As usual the local bulls in the China shop need to only hear the word 'Modi' to go on a rampage.
