What's new

Western democracy has failed in Pakistan: Hashwani

may be a good option :P

What I understand about democracy
a) it is worst form of govt, But there is no alternative to it.
b) it's like bunch of headless chickens, So there should be some one who has Veto power (in UK Queen has Veto, In USA President himself has Veto, In India Judiciary has Veto) (Joke: In Pakistan Mulla-Fauj Alliance has Veto)

then you don't know what democracy means... sincerely, what you have posted is one of those meaningless things that many indian middle-class people say about india versus china.

like i said above in this thread, usa is a capitalist-imperialist dictatorship with two parties... a person from the communist party of usa ( cpusa ) will not be allowed to lead usa... much of the structure of usa is built around money.

india since 1947 is a hindu capitalist nation, created by usa and britain for their own purposes... the naxalites, born in india, are being killed because they oppose the capitalist/rural/religious system of india... the naxalites propose progress but the indian military and police kill them... and if anyone talks about the "muslim" president of india, then... (a). presidents in india have no real authority, (b). a.p.j abdul kalam never bothered thinking that his being promoted by bjp was so very wrong... and if anyone quotes sonia gandhi being "the christian chief of a prominent party", then i will quote the supporters of the present government calling her a foreigner... i do not accept the legitimacy of india as it is now.

britain is again a capitalist system which has retained monarchy in 2014...

real democracies are socialist societies, the most democratic of which was the libyan jamahiriya... all other societies must be modeled on that as well as move further towards true communism... please do check my posts in the "worldwide government" thread... ( The Worldwide Government | Page 3 ).

That's why I said Democracy is not perfect, Its customized. India ,Britain and USA customized democracy to there need.

Capitalist Democracy, Socialist Democracy, Socio-Capitalist Democracy all are different flavor of democracy. Give democracy a chance, it will adapt its nature...

Never force a type of democracy.. From your view I can feel that you want to force Socialist Democracy on all world . You are behaving like Islamists (Who force Islam on Human ) or Communists (who force Communism on Human)

Supports Islamic system; seeks privatisation of govt entities

ISLAMABAD: Eminent entrepreneur Sadruddin Hashwani has said that the Westminster Parliamentary System of Britain had failed in Pakistan and it is not feasible to continue with it. He also quoted a verse from the Holy Quran in this regard.

In a special talk with this correspondent, Hashwani said that Pakistan should not implement the concept of Western democracy and added that it should follow the Islamic political system.

He further said that if 50 states could be formed in the US, the government should also form administrative units within the four provinces. He suggested that new provinces should be constituted in the country purely on administrative basis through new amendments other than the 18th Amendment.

He opined that formation of several provinces would improve the governance. He said that employment should not be given on the basis of rural and urban quota but on merit.

Hashwani proposed that president (Ameer) of Pakistan should be elected directly by the people, whereas the chief ministers should also be elected by the voters from the respective provinces. The provincial assembly should range from 25 to 50 members. He claimed that the people could get inexpensive justice when their own representatives elected directly by themselves would resolve their problems.

He cited the example of the US where the president and the assemblies are elected through direct vote He said that the Islamic political system did not resemble dictatorship and it dispensed justice to the people, resolved their problems on merit, strengthened the education sector and judiciary. He remarked that such a political system would change the fate of Karachi.

The businessman said that if China invested in Pakistan by facilitating 13 power projects, it would be a good omen for the Pakistanis, as it would lessen electricity loadshedding, which would be beneficial for the industries, agriculture, domestic and commercial consumers, and would increase national production and exports.

To a question, he said that the power cuts could be avoided by installing solar power panels. Factories for manufacturing solar panels were functional in India, Bangladesh, China, Germany, Australia and other countries.

Hashwani said that an investor-friendly petroleum policy should be introduced to attract investment of national and multi-national companies.

He proposed privatisation of distribution companies, the organisations under the Ministry of Petroleum, Pakistan International Airlines, Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Steel and other production-oriented organisations which were causing a loss of billions of rupees to the national kitty. He said that Pakistan had abundance of petroleum and gas resources.

He noted that if the petroleum policy made by the bureaucrats did not give way to national and global firms, they should know what return these firms would get after exploring natural resources by spending billions of rupees. He said that the bureaucrats should perform their official responsibilities and not do business. He said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto destroyed the national economy by nationalisation of the institutions. He said that if the judicial commission confirmed extensive rigging in the May 2013 general elections, re-elections should be held.

On the matters of state, he is a typical "dokandar" of subcontinent variety.

These guys want to take all the advantage from Western style businesses. factories, and technology.

but their @rses get on fire in the name of religion. Ameer this and Ameer that.

Stone age cave dwellers' system being propagandized by the so called "dokandars".

This is how our country got into this Islamo-fascism..

And instead of spreading secular ideals, this half-educated by rich guy is proposing more Islamo-fasicm.

What a pity.

Please do not drag Indian political system into highly refined western political systems.

Thank you.

.
He appears confused.

On one hand he says the ' western democracy has failed - ( Is there an eastern one too ?), yet he suggests a model akin to the US one.

Then he goes on to suggest an Islamic solution - where in any islamic system have elections been held ?

please do read my "worldwide government" link... you will see the democracy of socialism and the beauty of the ideal of "communist humanity"... :)

where in any islamic system have elections been held ?

"elections" system is "representative democracy"... not true democracy at all because someone takes decisions on your behalf, and then imposes taxes on you, and keeps you in poverty.

"direct democracy" is true democracy where you gather in democratic assemblies and voice your opinion directly, and your opinions if within the bounds of common sense or humanity, will go to the highest level of political arrangement... there is no need for any representative if you can contribute directly to society, and contribute you must... if no representative, then no party... if no party, then no need of any five-yearly sham called "elections"... as the green book says... "the ballot paper ( vote ) is a piece of garbage that goes regularly into a dust bin"... elections are a fraud.
