[Welcome!] Overseas fugitive surrenders amid China's anti-corruption campaign

I'm still not convinced Xi is any less corupt than Bo, Jiang Zemin, or Zhou Yongkang. I'm thinking, if Xi was going after coruption, wouldn't he first arrest himself?

Well still, I think the important thing to remember about China arresting these fugitives is that China allows the west to keep the money that the fugitive stole from China

They are only arresting the fugitive and recovering none of the money.

Does that sound familiar? China giving money to the west once again. What a surprise. If I didn't know any better that sounds like China is paying a protection fee

Decide for yourself whether that sounds right

Let me just go back to something one of these trols said before. He said that because I'm not Chinese, or don't live in China, I shouldn't talk about China. By the trol's own logic, then China has no right to talk about any other country, but you ever turn on Chinese tv, they love talking about other countries. Iran, Russia, USA, Europe, North Korea. They love talking about them. What they avoid talking about is China, and all the pressure they are under from their western masters. Heck, most Chinese don't even know the Tienamen masacre was US backed, or if they even know about the Tienamen masacre at all. Wait you ask, is this the same US that China lends trillions of dollars to? Why yes. It is. What do the trols have to say about that? Your country lends trillions to western countries that don't even need the money. Meanwhile, you got people who are sick, and cant afford healthcare. What kind of socialism, or comunism is that? The answer, none. I guess that's capitalism with Chinese characteristics. Bail out the rich. Corporate welfare is it?

If the Chinese people knew about what was going on, they'd definitely lose faith in their country real fast, especially how they're getting bullied all over the world. Most Chinese don't even know about how Hongers hate Chinese. The truth shall set you free.

Alot of people talk about China being the next super power. I'd be surprised if China still existed as a united country in 10yrs.

You should just commit suicide to put yourself out of your misery. It's not China's problem you are miserable. Being an evolutionary dead end is your problem. China doesn't care about your traitor parents, who are poor and miserable, either. Maybe you were expecting your evangelical churches to save you from mental colonialism? Ha ha, a bunch of traitor parents, their eunch sons and whore daughters. What a hilarious bunch, the diaspora.

China captures corruption fugitive

Xinhua | Updated: 2019-04-04

BEIJING - Chinese anti-corruption authorities and police have captured a fugitive who fled abroad over 10 years ago, the top anti-graft authority said Thursday.

Xi Fei, 56, fled abroad after the procuratorial agency of Haidian district, Beijing, decided to investigate his suspected embezzlement in 2003, according to a report by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.

He was recently found to have secretly returned to Beijing and the Haidian supervisory commission, working with police authorities, apprehended him.

A source with the office in charge of fugitive repatriation and asset recovery under China's central anti-corruption coordination group said that China would strengthen work to hunt down fugitives overseas and maintain a tough stance, according to the report.

Red Notice fugitive repatriated to China

Xinhua, April 30, 2020

BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhua) -- A fugitive suspected of loan fraud was repatriated from Vietnam to China after fleeing overseas more than one month ago, China's top anti-graft authority announced Thursday.

Hu Yipin was former sub-branch head of a bank in Wenzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, according to a statement by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Supervisory Commission.

Hu fled to Vietnam on March 12 and was listed on the Interpol Red Notice on March 27. He was arrested in Vietnam Tuesday and repatriated to China the same day.

Hu's arrest and repatriation in a relatively short period of time demonstrates the close cooperation between the public security organs of China and Vietnam, the statement said.

His repatriation during the COVID-19 epidemic also shows China's resolve to hunt down fugitives, the statement said, urging all other fugitives to surrender as soon as possible
