Welcome Asians: Japan turns to rest of Asia in hunt for younger employees

Canada is more friendly to immigrants than America and it's relatively 'easy' to become a Canadian as long as you can prove that you can contribute positively to their society and do not have a past criminal record. And it's really diverse too, anyone can feel at home there as long as they respect others.

You guys need just to reduce house price to 2x annual income and your woman will breed.
you keep saying "breed"..

East Asian, Southeast Asian and South Asians are very , very good candidates. In Japan, there are quite a number of Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and they assimilate very well. Btw, Pakistanis in Japan are known for good business instincts, many own very huge car sales businesses , and many are making a killing in selling 2nd hand Japanese cars and sell it to say ASEAN, Pakistan, India et al. Don't under-estimate South Asians and their savvy business sense --- and with productive minds like that --- that's what we need.

Look at any South Asians in Japan. They're either graduate students, teachers, college lecturers, in engineering or are in medicine / health field. These are model citizens.

Not refugees !
You do know your stuff, my 2 uncles are based in Osaka Japan quiet a few of my dads friends have married Japanese women too and now have children as well all in car businesses :). My dad personally made a killing in second hand car business too importing cars from Japan from my uncles to Chile, I would ignore what lux has been saying to be honest as Japan has one of the strictest immigration regiments in the world. The children who I've known personally Pakistani dad Japanese mother, all have very smart educated Young kids

Precisely said , buddy. We can't blame our friend Lux, he's from a very small country (5 million), so sometimes his insular thinking can be a paltry surprise for us. You make a find example of how immigrant friendly nations like the United States and Canada --- allows minorities to climb up and achieve the level of freedom and quality of life that may be restricted as compared to their home states. And you know what, can we blame people for seeking a better life outside ? I think not.

Japan is by no ways a 'small' country as we have a population of 128 million (roughly about 4 times the size of Canada's). We're not looking for high capacity immigration level as seen in Canada and in the early US history , just enough to stabilize our work force and keep the Japanese population at appreciable level for the foreseeable future.

The place where I'm from -- Sapporo -- we have a prominent Pakistani family (and i mean wealthy). Their surname is Khan --- they own literally 6 sizeable car shops. Its practically an "Auto Mall", they sell Toyota, Honda, Acura, some foreign brands like Ford, Chrysler etc. Its always packed. That's their #1 business. The owner also has a buy and sell business -- they buy older cars (5+ years or older) and they sell it en masse abroad. That's what they make a lot of money in -- and when i say alot, i mean millions (us dollars). Pakistanis in Japan, for the most part, are very wealthy.

Doesn't Singapore have a large muslim community? cause it seems to be doing quite fine to me.

I really suspect the intention of Nihonjin. You ask Singaporeans and 99% will tell you immigration is bad, unless we have attract top talent.

Singapore and others do not attract top talent. Most are just laborers and half bake, to push down wages and enable rich to exploit.

I bet in Japan case, very few people from Nordic, USA or Germanic will be coming. They will get those in 3rd world and declare these are talent.

Not too many 1st world people will flood japan and live in a cage there.

Only 3rd world people who make their country a shit hole will want to come to a less shit place.

Btw, Sir, starting salary of a Developer / Software Engineer in Japan is around 4.2 - 5.0 million JPY. That's around ~ $36000 - $42,000 (US Dollars) per year. Not bad ! With time, it can go up to as much as 5.5-6 + million JPY...!

What about living expenditure? I heard Japan is expensive to live.
