Just thought that the hold up I saw was due to some overload or maint activity.

Have you considered moving to a virtual environment as compare to a physical? That would allow you to allocate more resources on demand and move failed virtual machine from one server to another with minimal interruption.

Understood. And that's one of the reasons that I have suggested moving towards a virtual environment. This will give you the flexibility of dynamically adding and removing the resources on demand and move any failed virtual machine from one server to another with minimal interruption. Also, it allows you to restart virtual machines on a different physical server if the host server fails. Please talk to your ISP.
