Popeye Turbo SLCM—A reportedly stretched version of the Popeye Turbo developed for use as a submarine-launched cruise missile (SLCM) was widely reported in a US Navy observed 2002 test in the Indian Ocean to have hit a target at 1500 km. It can allegedly carry a 200 kt nuclear warhead. It is believed that the stretched Popeye Turbo is the primary strategic second strike nuclear deterrent weapon that can be fired from the 650 mm secondary torpedo tubes of the Israeli Dolphin-class submarines.[1] It is believed that the SLCM version of the Popeye was developed by Israel after the US Clinton administration refused an Israeli request in 2000 to purchase Tomahawk long range SLCM's because of international MTCR proliferation rules.[7] While the standard Popeye is 533 mm theDolphin class submarines have four 650 mm torpedo tubes in addition to the six standard 533 mm tubes allowing for the possibility that a SLCM Popeye derivative may be a larger diameter.

There's a reason that the Us brought many Nazi scientists to America for weapon developments. Nazis were brilliant people.

They were just out numbered to the point it didn't matter what high tech weapons you had at the time. And they were planning on creating nuclear weapons too. If they won that war the Wehrmacht would have been the greatest military force in history.

thank fully their nuclear program never got off the ground and it had been abandoned it was not considered worthwhile. Nazis were evil people. Thankfully world is better off.

Don't make me hurt you!! Look, it's feasible. We know how to launch missiles from subs, and missiles with a range of several hundred km exist. We could mate a missile like ATACMS to a midget submarine if we wanted, but it's of dubious value and is a single mission weapon. You're aren't going to go through the trouble of creating such a system unless you're arming it with a nuclear payload.

ATACMS is small enough and matches the range profile, and though it's not submarine launch capable, a similar missile of the same dimension could be.

Try a midget submarine like the Russian Piranha-T, an attack variant of the base Piranha class special missions submarine shown bellow. They are not just surface attack platforms capable of launching SLCMs or Torpedoes, but can launch and recover unmanned underwater vehicles and divers, which makes them multi-role and not relegated to second strike only.

They have more value and can serve a variety of special missions ranging from ISR to sabotage, mine-laying, cable-tapping and attack if needed. They're a better option for the PN to explore.

With 533mm and 400mm internal torpedo tubes and a limited diver launch and recovery capability, using the scary and dangerous torpedo tube lockout method.

They are small, quiet and deadly sneak attack craft that are capable of launching heavy weight torpedoes or cruise missiles (potentially nuclear armed).

A version fitted with an AIP propulsion system called Pirhana-2 has surfaced as well.

Ballistic missiles are cool, I guess, but I believe this is a far better solution to your second strike needs if you're going to explore the midget submarine route.

That is an excellent system but I was thinking of something as quiet and compact as possible with the capability to pass through enemy defences undetected and launching a single nuclear armed BM. Think of it as an oversized Torpedo-BM hybrid.
