تمكّنت وحدات الحرس الوطني مساء الأربعاء 20 فيفري 2013 من حجز كمية من قطع السلاح في مستودع بأحد المنازل الكائنة بحي الجمهورية بالمنيهلة من ولاية أريانة تتمثل في قذائف أر بي جي وقطع من سلاح كلاشينكوف ورمانات يدوية وذخيرة ومواد متفجرة.
وفي نفس الإطار تمكنت وحدات الحرس الوطني مدعمة بوحدات مختصة من الأمن الوطني من إيقاف 13 نفرا من بينهم 11 متحصنين داخل جامع النور بحي دوار هيشر ضبطت لديهم كمية كبيرة من الأسلحة البيضاء المختلفة، علما أنّ 06 منهم من المفتش عنهم في قضايا حق عام من قبيل العنف والسرقة والاعتداء على الأملاك.
وما تزال التحريات متواصلة حول الموضوع.​

the irony is that this weapons will be used against them by the desert division ( the only unite uses ak in Tunisia )

I am worried about Tunisia from the rising power of Qaeda style groups, it's understandable that Tunisia use soft power as it came in the name of democracy, but it must show no mercy toward those people in specific or else, Tunisia will not see peace and prosperity. Tunisian people have a role in this by alienating them and rejecting their evil thinking.

this is so confusing where is qaeda coming from how is it spread from asia to africa...........is it actually there or what is this and this group has caused more damage to muslim's then any one else?

The problem is not with the weapons but rather with the mindsets, however, most weapons have been smuggled from Libya.
