By "warrior race" I meant the use of sword and dagger only. Since sword and dagger is part of Sikh tradition and religion,they are quite trained in it's use. Typical RSS and bajrang dal goons attack with sticks and swords ,so using similar weapons Sikhs stand a better chance in fight. Though I agree they lack training in modern army and warfare. But if the 21 Sikh regiment of Indian army will realize the potential threat of Hindu Nazi RSS they have one hell of a fighting chance.In 1984 they were seriously outnumbered,and they were no arms to fight. I can understand if someone lost loved ones in partition violence,they cannot think rationally and logically.That was a mad bad time. Tara Singh infact belonged to a Hindu family. He converted to Sikhism to fulfill the political purpose.Nehru and other political powers were behind Tara Singh .He conspired and betrayed the whole Sikh community.

My Father was a "Captain" in the "volunteer force" formed by Quaid to protect migrant Muslims from India.
He saved hundreds of lives of Pakistanis who were migrating from India.

I am proud of my brave father, who put his life on the line for months to protect those who were vulnerable to the attacks by both Sikhs and Hindus.

Unfortunately, not all could be saved. Millions died, which should have not. Sad and unforgetable.

Before hopping on the anti Sikh brigade, please take a moment to realize that many of the Sikhs' religious sites were left in Pakistan. We froth so much at losing Al Aqsa to Israel but they lost their founder Guru Nanak's birth and burial place both to Pakistan in partition. And Sikhs and Hindus were killed in equal numbers in Pakistan. 5 million S+H were driven out from West Pakistan.

The Sikhs are not the greatest enemies of Muslims now. Only the Hindus of North and Central India are our real enemies. I think the Indian Muslims here will corroborate. You guys need to stop drawing up unnecessary walls with every community.
