We shall overrun : The problem of the upper middle class

This Paracha fellow is a funny guy. He has a pretty good sardonic/sarcastic style of writing but as someone mentioned before me, he overdoes things a bit.

Pardon me Sparklingway, but this piece of work or whatever from this drug-addict and psychopath Paracha you have posted is easily the worse writeup I have read in a long time.

I agree with your assessment except for the last part, he overdoes things A LOT.

I find him funny because of his writing style, and his ability to absurdly twist events and magnify them to such a great extent that suit his hardcore leftist and anti-islamist agenda.

There's no other way one could possibly do so. for instance justifying compliments for Zardari's good govn't policy or actions against all the odd of Media's and People's relentless campaign against him.

I have to give him credit for that.

Agree with you on his writing style part. And it could definitely be that he exaggerates a lot. I guess being a Pakistani, you can take a better call on that.

Honestly I appreciate the fact that Pakistani media has people like him who can poke fun at the establishment and write things on their own terms. I dont think India has such authors. Most of them would support the establishment apart from a few leftists. But none of them have Paracha's sense of humor nor his alternate view of things.

They should try some 'dope' as does Mr. Paracha; you'll see what wonders their pen or keyboard will do after that.

Paracha makes a genuine point from time to time and usually he divulges in over exaggerated social commentary. His humor is good, albeit sometimes redundant and monotonic. In this piece, he engaged in an extremely wide topic and the social commentary he indulges in is quite vast to summarize. The "views" of the middle class he presents, are not held by all but certainly small and large groups of the middle class resonate specific views from his article.
