The Pakistan Army director general of military operations (DGMO) contacted his Indian counterpart on Monday and warned him of a “stronger” response to the Indian aggression against Pakistani troops.

Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza called up the Indian DGMO on a hotline to lodge a protest with him over the attack on a Pakistan army vehicle by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), four Pakistani soldiers were martyred on Sunday after firing from the Indian side caused the vehicle to plunge into Neelum River .

Maj Gen Mirza underscored the importance of controlling tactical actions of the command troops.
He added that these indiscretions could potentially lead to major standoffs.

The DGMO conveyed to his counterpart that such acts had the potential to escalate tensions which could then be extremely detrimental to peace and stability.

“We do not want to go down the path where we start choking each other’s supply lines. However, any recurrence such as this will invoke stronger and effective measures from our side,” he added.

PA posts on features of either side of Kishganga crossing LC towards Taobat feeling the effects of similar policies as adopted by them eh?

Maybe those posts would do well to remember that two can tango. The post immediately due west of Kishanganga/Neelam crossing LC, of PA, has long been a launch pad for ingress via 'Neelam Forests' along axes on either side of feature. Lately it, along with the constellation of posts along Durmat Ridge (a feature technically a LC violation as the ridge is demarcation boundary of the original CFL and occupied by 7 PA posts) has taken to choking IA lines of supply to troops in CI/CT mode establishing blocks for these ingress teams.

I think both sides should now move to de-escalation. And PA should check any infiltration from their locations. It is really a bad idea for things to escalate. Especially with IS continuing to emerge a threat for the complete subcontinent.

This statement is of value since it hints at the continued provocation by the Indian Army along the LoC.

I hope calm heads prevail and they do not get carried away by 'yaay Uncle Sam is with us' syndrome.

Pakistani DGMO's statement disappoints me lot since there is clear indication that we are not going to take revenge for latest attack on our soldier but retaliates when it happen again.

I want someone in army high ranks with balls like Gen. Musharaf.

Which path, same path which you took in 1991 & ended up banging US's door to stop Indian aggression on LOC. This time cry loud to wake up Beijing might for your hollow consolation.
Good terrorism is not worth eliminating but to dub such anchors of terrorism as "Philanthropist or Social worker".

This blood bath will continue to take its toll on both side until you stop to provide cover for infiltration & support for Jihad to destabilising Indian territory but then Rawalpindi has already invested too much in irreversible self destruction approach of medieval time called "bleeding India thousands time through Strategic Assets".
Harbour such philanthropist & get ready to bear the fruit of karma.
Stop deluding your pure clan to outwit to others to get parity in every walks of world affairs. "K" has proven to be costly persuance in someone's history book yet not close any reconciliation with reality, no hope.
D stands for Doom. It's not for shortsighted acumen living on the axis of OLD GLORY OF INDUS. Imprinting new history on same Indus.
