It already happened to us back in 80-90's, but we never learned? History is gonna repeat itself again.

There is no mess a few billion more cannot help clean up, is there?
You cannot resolve the World's Problems by throwing money at it.
I was not referring to the world's problems. Throwing a few billion Pakistan's way always works.
All kidding aside but this infusion of dollars does little to help Pakistan. This money is often siphoned off by the Corrupt Politicians and transferred to offshore bank accounts.
We need to have Economic Solutions that are organically developed and are self sustaining long term Solutions.
Much of the money does indeed get spent correctly and thus is very useful in keeping Pakistan afloat. This hearsay claim of money being siphoned off (other than some minor skimming) simply cannot be taken as correct without any proof.
It amounts to the same thing.
Most self-respecting countries pay their bills by raising money through taxes or securities.
When country X wants to build a highway or buy fighter jets, they use their own money. Pakistan, by contrast, goes hat-in-hand to the highest bidder (sometimes sending Pakistani military to do mercenary work), and uses that money for business.
Meanwhile, the elite (and not-so-elite) tax cheats keep stuffing their bank accounts, real estate prices in Karachi keep climbing, and luxury car dealerships continue their thriving business. Then these same people wring their hands about how Pakistan has become a country for sale.
