Pakistani mentality is individualistic, short sighted and get rich quick and then you have a population that is mostly uneducated so I'm not surprised to see our people dominating in real estate sector because it represents all these traits and it requires no effort at all. It's pure speculation and gamble. Rather, we should be focussing to build a real economy which is diverse and inclusive, focussing on academia, agriculture, science, engineering, medicine, IT, and arts. When you build relevant infrastructure in your country, you will achieve sustainable economic output.

Pakistan can actually come out of the current turmoil. It will be a long and arduous journey. The first thing is to make sure rule of law is present and the accountability axe can be wielded to anyone.
