Water crisis in the subcontinent

Common misconception. Nuclear power has a very low CARBON FOOTPRINT. But it still has massive problems of disposal of nuclear waste my friend

Reprocessing works.

Also, water desalination is 100% necessary, but may not be energetically feasible. The logical next choice is water recycling. Currently, India has very few water treatment plants, and much freshwater is wasted due to preventable and cleanable pollution.

We can not intercept the Ganges, Indians would pass on the disaster in Bangladesh, we can not hurt Bengali.
China should sign water agreement with India. We do not intercept water, India also can not intercept water. Let the downstream people(Bengali) have enough water.

:hitwall:

You can not intercept the Ganga because it simply does not originate in your country.

Again: Ganga does not originate in Chinese territory

You can intercept the Indus (Pakistan gets screwed) or Brahmaputra (Bangladesh gets screwed)

India's biggest water problem is water pollution, not water lack.
Chinese tourists to India, 90% of people will be diarrhea.

Desalination can be solved water lack.
solved water pollution problems, it needs Indians living habits to correct, for example, stop water burial.

this shows chinese immunity against bugs are so weak:P , first solve your pollution problem then talk about others,

You fail to speak in the context of the topic. The topic mentions water shortage and not water hygiene. Yes water hygiene is bad in India and it all depends on your habits. Most people who are aware of the water borne diseases take appropriate precaution, issue is that the awareness does not percolate to all sections of the society.

Water shortage is a big looming crisis only because most people don't value the importance of water conservation. The govt should create awareness in water conservation in urban areas... for ex we are already seeing that most of the newer group housing projects are all required to implement rain water harvesting for their own use. This should reduce their reliance on the supply infrastructure thereby reducing the pressure on the govt agencies to divert more water from agricultural usage to urban usage.

In the rural areas, we are seeing a lot of villages benefit from the NREGA programs where villagers are building man made water storage to collect rain water which would otherwise seep to the ground and run off downstream. India receives enough rainfall during the monsoons and through rest of the year for its people, only if people are aware of water conservation, we will never see such crisis arise.

Chinese people's immunity is no problem, other foreigners also diarrhea occurs. I know the Indians will give all foreigners bottled water, not only the Chinese people.

Yes, China also has pollution. For example, the toxic milk.
But China is working to resolve the industrial pollution, at least China's water can drink.
And India does not care about water pollution, India will only sell bottled water, not stop water burial.

Delhi belly happens to 80% of tourists, It actually the acclimatization of your gut microbes to new water and environment. At max it stays for 4-5 days.

if we do proper rain harvesting..i am sure there will be more than enough water for us.

India has enough nuclear power plants, India govt has the ability to do desalination.
India is very easy to solve water lack problem.

Dude, you can't just build desalination plants just because we have technology to built them. Indian rivers are still under utilized for the most extent and most of the coastal areas in peninsular India won't have water problem both drinking and irrigation wise. There is no motivating factor for India to go for desalination plants as of now.

India is very easy to solve water lack problem.

Though incoherent, but I think I get the gist here. Agree that we do have the ability for desalination, but the cost associated with it is too high for most consumers. Most who are in need of clean water are our poor people, most rich can afford an RO or UV purification system installed in their homes. Like I said before, we do not have shortage of water... main challenge is potable water.

i stay in south india's favorite destination for tourism, i come across many nationally& I interact with many people around the world , they like environment of india the most, then hospitality of the indian people.

no way any one getting ill due to pollution , or getting diarrhea due to water problem.
