I didnt like it, too predictable, very melodramatic and no sensible logic controlling the plotline.

How come the road collapse chases the hero's car till the time he reaches the airport, then stops till the plane starts taxiing and then starts following the plane again?

Again tacky FX! Btw I am waiting for Cameroon's new movie "Avatar". Heard its better than the hype surrounding it!!

Btw I would highly recommend two very good movies "Moon" and "The Man from Earth". Watch these and you will know why!

Not as expected..lot of boring scenes...:disagree:

It was indeed an awesome spectacle,

The part where Yellow stone blows up was impressive.

Didn't like it. Apart from effects nothing special in it:D
Although waiting for Avatar to release. Hope it lives to its expectation.

The only thing I think may happen is the solar flare, which will just knock electronic equipment. That too is a long shot, a massive solar flare has to form, it has to be aligned with the Earth.

Or the other more unlikely thing is if there is a more continuous burst of radiation it may erode Earth's magnetic field, there by bringing in all the Sun's and Space's harmful radiations. The continuous burst from radiation may be in the form of a star going Super nova and its Gamma ray jet streams, which again have to be super aligned with the Earth.

Apart from that, the 2012 phenomenon only has statistics on its side. Every 10,000 to 15,000 years a massive global disaster takes place on Earth. One thing that has been theorized is large scale polar shifts. Basically the Earth's crust is lying on molten rock. Theoretically it can go wobbly and start spinning. Meaning we can end up in the North pole overnight. Scientists theorize that the last time this happened, the Ice Age ended.

To support the theory of polar shifts, you have to believe another theory. That the Sphinx and the Pyramids are made in an era that belonged to some ancient race that pre-dated the polar shift, that is from the Ice Age. People have found larger amounts of water erosion on the Sphinx than they have found wind erosion on it. Highly unlikely in present day Egypt unless Egypt was somewhere else a long time ago.

Even i was surprised to see that the hero always escapes, but if he would have died then there was no story further dude..it was really good ya some boring scenes but still it is appreciatable

the movie was crap ...it looked more of a vedio game rather than anything natural......they put too much comical/comedy stuff everytime there is somrthing serious happening that makes the movie loose its appeal......on the whole except for the graphics ......the movie is total crap...they should not have made it in the first place .

besides i found some chinese movies having names and storyline similar to 2012! like one was named 2011 and another 2021! these guys have no creativity even for names lol!
