Members of the Border Security Force (BSF) inspect the site where a dead falcon fitted with a small camera was found near the border with neighbouring Pakistan in western Rajasthan state on April 13, 2013.

A falcon outfitted with an antennae and small camera caused alarm after Indian security forces found the bird dead on the Pakistani border. Though officials said the equipment was not highly sophisticated, a border officer told AFP that "the possibility of it being an espionage attempt from Pakistan cannot be ruled out at this stage".

On Twitter, the avian threat was dismissed with scepticism.

Who will ensure that? Pigeons, falcons have successfully been used for spying or message service through out history. Its a very cheap and effective way of collecting information.

I suspect this coz Pak is using drones along Rajistan whick can cover up atleast 150+km informations of Indian side while staying in Pak air space then why this falcon with some dumb equips would be used here in this sector??
