First two sentences of you describe you better. So far 60 generals from key departments are taken into custody. Land, Air, Naval, Military intelligence, Special forces, Logistics etc.

Do you know how many soldiers involved? Only 3000 vs whole Turkish armed forces of 600,000 mens.. for the coup.

The logic of a coup is overthrowing the leading staff and taking the control of key targets as fast as possible. This is not a civil war so you don't need the whole army and it happened freely from the general staff. Beside this there were many units which will act according to the process.

I totally disagree. It is the lower rank mass of soldiers that needed to carry out the action in order to have a successful coup as Pakistan and Thailand shown. It you control such small amount of soldiers. It will bound to fail. Only a fool will do it or most likely staged.

Most of time the coup is done with small number of troops they occupy the main avenues of communications and project a notion they are 100% in control

But Turkish people stood up to stop the attempt

Turkish civilians and officers defending the nation , paid hefty price with their blood

How many governments have a handy list of the coup plotters drawn up before the coup so they know who to blame and can find the 50,000 conspirators with in days.
