Was INDIA's LCA TEJAS a FAILURE? Let's FIND OUT! (LCA Tejas Documentary)

I will let the Indians answer you, but your logic is more about your political/country leanings. Mine is about technical aspects. I'm not surprised you are clueless about the latter.

Also, JF17 is an aircraft that China itself has never inducted into its own airforce. Kinda weird ain't it for a smashing aircraft not being accepted by its maker.
I don't claim to be an aeronautical engineer. Neither are you. JF-17 has been designed for a specific purpose that suits Pakistan. It doesn't suit China's requirements, so China hasn't purchased it from Pakistan. Pakistan does not claim it's world's best fighter. It's the best fighter to suit Pakistan's needs within its budget.

Pakistan never claimed that JF17 is worlder beater, unlike India with Brahmos.

Keep in mind that Brahmos creator would never induct this export downgrade.

Many here are not aeronautical engineers to comprehend intelligently an aircraft's capability. It is obvious you are struggling with it or have a political agenda behind your comments.

What is Pakistan's unique need from the aircraft that was not important for China to have? Why would Pakistan want an aircraft that is inferior to all modern Chinese aircraft's and not co-produce one that is at par with the Chinese inventory at a minimum?

Nah - from Occupied Kashmir (Baramulla). Stuck with Indian passport for time being but support Pakistan.
Fair enough....however it would better if you criticize based on facts...you are referring to block 3 of JF-17 and marking it as a success...that is also a good point however just to let you know...Tejas already has some of the features that are being proposed for JF-17 in terms of block 3...now does that mean I am saying JF17 is crap...no...similarly saying Tejas is crap might not be right....Anyways i would suggest that use PDF as an opportunity to learn...atleast on subjects you have little knowledge...peace!!

Export version is different than not inducting period. Russia has longer range needs. However, I believe now with MTCR access granted to India, Russia is looking to induct higher range versions of Brahmos.

Tejas is not a failure in 2 words.

Arihant is.
Facing teething trouble.
In the ICU, but not in comatose.
Russian medicos (specialists) are attending.

Tejas was a failure long time ago and India kept it alive. India need to learn when to stop before sink all the money into such a failed project. Now, Modi had to shove this plane down the throats of India AF while promising them fourth gen light foreign fighters that India actually needs. This Texas fighter will be for parade only. This is because India didn't have courageous people to pull the plug when things are not working.

India need to learn how to cut its losses.

The JF-17 supposedly suits Pakistan's regional operations such as counter-terrorism at a relatively low-cost and assurance of the availability of parts which can also be manufactured locally.

Let me know when Russia induct Brahmos. As of now, Russia has zero Brahmos. All the talk about the Russia using it in the future sound good. But there is no need to discuss what ifs.

Honestly, IMO it is all cost driven. The sheer numbers you have inducted does not tell me counter-terrorism was any real motivating factor.

Let me know when the Chinese will allow others to benchmark their mainstream aircraft too. Russians already have higher ranges of Brahmos type missiles in Oniks. I read recently in an article posted here that Russian have selected the Indian version of SU MKI, where Indian version has Brahmos hardpoints. So maybe they will go for the air version.

I personally think that the overall cost of developing and procuring the JF-17 may have been a more significant factor for its inception; however, I don't think that the Pakistani Air Force would induct a fighter aircraft solely premised on economic viability as the PAF is actively engaged in counter-terrorism operations which may become more pronounced in the near-future.

For an aircraft that is rubbish you sure concern troll a lot. I would be more concerned how Taiwan sticks its thumb in China's eyes and the great Chinese military has not been able to do anything about it. I guess the Chinese know the American weaponry we provide them is far superior.

This thread is about whether Texas fighter is a success or failure. No need to talk about other subject.

It's a good learning experience. But the plane itself failed miserably.

You are trolling when you talk about Taiwan or China. Stick with the topic.

Your observations are never based on qualatative reasons- All you do is be a mouthpiece for China in every topic and then try to be coy about it.lol
