Was India Better Under the British ?

No one was comfortable with the britishers in 30s and 40s...
Yes they have gifted us with english,railways,ports,some good building a good capital..
But they have taken a lot from us,for example our KOHINOOR, no i m not talking about pakistan and bangladesh..

Yes and they wanted Indians to fight and we did in both WW1 and WW2, if you go to Northen France you can see there is many unmarked graves of the fallen Indian soldiers.

1) India was richest place until the British looters arrived
2) British caused mass famine and would not let Indians even make their own textile clothes, they had to import from sunny Manchester.
3) British looked down on Hinduism until they came to know Sanskrit is mother of all Indo-european language

Correction it was not India that was rich it were the royals who were rich no one was under full control of the entire country from north to south,we were just the Indian subcontinent there was no India and no Pakistan,big and small royal states who gave 2 hoots about each others the British were smart they annexed the big states and ruled us,Whatever they took from us they lost in WW2 they are not as evil as our history textbooks controlled by the govt. taught us.

Just a few words of English are from Sanskrit,the language is an amalgamation of other european languages and languages that existed in England.

Unfortunately for you, India did beat the UK team quite a few times before in cricket. And they have some world's best batsmen. No need to feel sorry for them.

Agree or not Britishers did alot of benefit to India & Indians, all major Indian cities were developed by Britishers for example, Delhi, Mumbay, Kolkato, Madras, etc. Their railways was developed by Britishers, their army was organized by Britishers, their industries were setup by Britishers & most importantly Britishers make them wealthy by giving them good high payed jobs.

As for Pakistan it was opposite, Britishers looted every thing from this land & give zero development as it is visible that after Pakistan got indepandance from British, Pakistan was a desert & started every thing from zero, at the time of indepandance Pakistan had just one city Lahore which was developed by Mughals & that was also not industrialised city but a tourist city & Lollywood city but thanks to Almighty today Pakistan got 7-8 major cities & several small cities. Also Britishers didn't help Pakistan getting it's lands & they were all stolen & occupied.

Atleast have some shame in denying facts, world knows Indian Railways had been developed by British money & engineering just like today Americans are providing funds & engineering to Afghanistan to build their railways. But alas this is india & it is in your blood to speak lie, no offense.

Not British money it was wealth from the East India company which means it was looted, yes it was British designed and engineering but it was not the work of English workers!

Then why the muslim league never fought for independence? Not a single ML leader ever went to prison for defying the British.

On topic, there would have been both good and bad. After the end of colonial era the British continued to rule South Africa, Zimbabwe and Hong Kong. But their rule in these countries were very different from each other. It would be great if the rule was like in Hong Kong. But I am afraid it would have been more like in South Africa where the whites dominated the economy and continued the apartheid. One wouldn't want to be a second class citizen in his or her own country. But again, under the British, India would have been better managed and less corrupt.
