Was F6 a twin engine jet?

Even A-5's Operated by PAF were twin engine aircraft

He means his father was the Ground Controller for the Interception.

Yes 10602 once graced the Junkyard of the PAF Museum. It was never on display though. May I ask where is it now erected.
Now they are going to erect at falcons complex Rawalpindi.

Hello everyone
I lived in a retired air force officers colony and today I woke up with a F6 jet parked in front of my house. At first when I saw twin engines from the back side I was confused which jet is it. Because I thought PAF never had a twin engine fight jet. I am sharing some pics ,after seeing the squadron symbol of eagle claw on tail please tell me which squadron it is and currently which jets are in service in this particular squadron. Thanks

Do you live in Falcon Housing Shaheed e Millat or Malir?

Our house is in Falcon Housing off shaheed e millat. When we had moved in back in 1996, the road to technical area was still accessible with only a single DSG guard sitting there. I would go check out all mothballed planes that were then restored fir the Museum.

Yes, I moved to the US for studies and settled here.

If you know uncle Hussaini, give my salaam.
Tell him G/C Syed Tasneem Ali's son. He would know.

I have a 5ft x 3ft copy of a painting he did and autograph by him.

F-6 Farmer was heavily upgraded in PAF service, and the end product was NOT a bad plane. It served well for more than 3 decades.

I could be wrong but i think A-5 would have made for PAF close to what A-10 is for USAF - minus the gattling cannon.

Minus the range, minus the weapons load, minus the turbofans and armor, ... basically there is no comparison between the two fighters. A-5s carried just 200 rounds and could carry a max of 4400lbs. Compare that to 1100+ rounds and 16,000lbs payload of the A-10. Its true, A-5s were purely meant for CAS, but that is really where the comparison ends. Both are very different jets. Id argue, the Mirage 5 is better at the CAS role than the A-5s ever were.

Im not comparing the planes at all - its the role for ground support, both PA and US-Army have different needs also. PAF has not integrated AGM-65 into Mirage even and will not spare Mirage often for PA support. As for capacity of rounds weaponry, sensors, protection - optimizations and upgrades would have occurred if interest was there.
