Walton's ventilators to begin clinical trials today

Good job. I feel bad questioning walton. Seems they will keep there word? Hopefully we will see the final product soon and possibly walton can export.
The main issue is to build a prototype ventilator that functions smoothly in the hospitals. If the current trial phase is successful, there is no doubt on the WALTON's ability to mass produce it. Mass producing helps the unit cost to remain low and acceptable by also other countries.

Let us hope the present WALTON trial phase is successful. It will open new windows for our export efforts.

Walton have 3 ventilator prototypes:

1/ 1 based on proven Medtronic design with full assistance given from Medtronic in it’s development.

2/ 2 of Walton’s own designs.

I am sure that no 1 will be certified for use and should be extremely reliable.

The other two will have less chance of certification but if at least one is certified for use than that means Walton can then get practical experience of it’s own design ventilator in clinical use.

Bold part:

1) If the No. 1 Medtronic designed product is certified, WALTON will license produce it and sell in certain markets including BD. In this case, WALTON, by contract with Medtronic, is not allowed to just copy it. It will cause arbitration in an international Court of Justice, WALTON will lose the case and will be liable to pay compensation.

2) However, if WALTON, without following Medtronic design, produces its own prototype in the future by recording the process in every step, it will not be an infringement of agreement with Medtronic.

There is also a chance that WALTON's own product will also be certified this time. Usually, international companies do not go for its own product when it license-produces a better and proven product with assured market access.

To catch international market anew with one's own product is time consuming and would be a difficult job.

Videos about Walton's Ventilator prototypes submission for Health dept. approval (and local clinical trials) in Bangladesh including 3D printed components per Medtronic design. Company confirms production capability of 500 units per day. Altogether so far, other State-owned and Private firms besides Walton - submitted a total of 18 types of ventilator prototypes. Sorry Bangla only.
