WADA Let Serena, Venus Williams, Simone Biles Take Banned Substances

Whistle-blowers are rare but Zhou Chunlan, a onetime weightlifting national champion, remembers swallowing pills during training without having any idea what they were. Eventually, she grew a beard. “Everything is for the gold medals,” she tells TIME, of the Chinese sports system, which she says filled her body with so many male hormones that she became infertile.

Bombshell leak reveals Williams tennis sisters and Rio Olympics gymnast heroine have been doping for years, with WADA's approval

Tue, 13 Sep 2016

Turns out American tennis stars also dope... surprise!

A hacktivist group claims it has uncovered files that show top American athletes including Serena Williams and Simone Biles took banned substances - although their respective sporting federations responded by saying the athletes did not break any rules.

The allegations were published on the website of the hacktivist group Fancy Bear, which described the revelations as being "just the tip of the iceberg."

The documents the group says it hacked from the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) files contain information that Serena Williams, one of the world's greatest ever tennis players, was taking a number of banned substances.

Williams was allowed to take oxycodone, hydromorphone, prednisone and methylprednisolone in 2010, 2014 and 2015, despite the substances being placed on WADA's list of banned substances.

However, the documents released also showed that Williams had been given special permission to take some of the drugs. The authorization was given by Dr. Stuart Miller from the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

Serena's older sister Venus was found to have taken prednisone, prednisolone, triamcinolone and formoterol, which are also on WADA's banned list. However, she was given special dispensation to take the substances as long as she adhered to various conditions regarding the use of the drugs.

Meanwhile, American gymnast Simone Biles, who won four golden medals in the 2016 Olympics in Rio, tested positive for methylphenidate after giving a urine sample. However, like the Williams sisters, she was given special dispensation to take the drug.

RT has contacted the International Federation of Gymnastics for comment, with its representative saying the body followed the current rules and that there is "no problem."

"She [Biles] has a therapeutic use exemption, there is nothing we have to mention about that, everything is absolutely clear and according to the rules."

WADA has released a statement confirming the cyber attack. It noted that the cyber intrusion was conducted by a Russian hacker team and that it is taking the attack "very seriously."

Comment: WADA says, in blaming "Russian hackers," that the cyberattacks were "an attempt to undermine WADA and the global anti-doping system." Sorry WADA, but no one needs to do that. Your already corrupt system can handle undermining itself just fine.

"The group accessed athlete data, including confidential medical data - such as Therapeutic Use Exemptions delivered by International Sports Federations (IFs) and National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs) - related to the Rio Games."

According to the body, the information was obtained "through spear phishing of email accounts."

An internal investigation has been launched, WADA said in the statement.

Comment: Exceptions can be made for exceptional star athletes from exceptional countries.

Just how many Russian athletes are given "special dispensation" to take banned substances? We're guessing very, very few.

Just because these athletes had a therapeutic use exemption doesn't mean that the situation isn't ridiculously hypocritical. We'd be very interested to know who the doctors were that prescribed the drugs and why the athletes needed them. Plus, the drugs themselves are banned because they enhance performance. There's no getting around that, doctor's note or no doctor's note.

Whatever 'very few' means is just as good as anyone else's guess, which could mean very much.

There is no hypocrisy here.

China and Russia are FOUNDING MEMBERS of WADA, which mean they are privy into every aspect of substance research, why some are banned, and why there are exemptions. Just because the Russians crackers did not reveal Russian or Chinese athletes, that does not mean there are no exemptions granted to Russian and Chinese athletes. Further, the exemptions are part of the person's confidential medical records and reviews of them must be restricted. For this controversy with Serena Williams, the International Tennis Federation knew of her request for exemption and approved it. That exemption went to the Olympics committee, they reviewed it, and approved it. The reasons for exemptions are known to every country, and so far, neither Russia nor China raised any protests. Why ?

The Chinese swimmer Chen Xinyi and the Bulgarian steeplechaser Silvia Danekova have tested positive for banned substances at the Rio Olympics.

Exactly. Their reputation and credibility (or whatever left of it) has been defiled forever. They can manipulate Google search results, but they cannot manipulate easily people's consciousness.

This matter will be slapped on their face more forcefully next time they show the moral lowness of accusing others of their own immoral conduct like they did with Russian Paralympics team.

As they say, "sanctioned' doping is like political favors, aka lobbying. Both utilized/legitimized primarily by US."

Yup.

The Yankee sports reputation has been destroyed completely.

No one trusts their athletes are clean anymore.

They are all a bunch of doping cheats. None of them are clean. Masking agents and corrupt WADA are the only way these Yankee cheats can win at sports.

Yanks have been humiliated by these hackers. They have unmasked the Yankee con artists to the whole world.

Glad to see the Yankee sports reputation shattered.

.
Seriously, stop posting masculer women versus slim women pictures. Women can be masculer too, it is not something new.

And ofcourse the athletes who are doping should be banned.

. .
It is funny that almost every American athlete has some kind of medical problem due to which they are taking banned substances. Looks like this "medical problem" is a precondition for athlete to compete in professional sports. If you are healthy and have no medical issues then you are not fit to represent team USA.

Russia Vindicated - WADA Caught Red-Handed in Williams Sisters Doping Scandal

World Anti-Doping Agency leaked files show WADA allows American athletes to take banned substances

Wed, Sep 14, 2016

The attack on the WADA data base showed that Russian national tennis team coach Shamil Tarpishchev was right when he joked about “the Serena and Venus Williams Brothers”. WADA confirmed the attack and warned the International Tennis Association.

What’s this all about? The leak revealed that WADA allowed US athletes to take banned substances. Not meldonium, that boosts the cardiovascular system, but drugs and hormonal substances. Who are these “lucky people”? The masculine Serena and Venus Williams, gymnast Simona Biles, who won four golden medals in Rio, basketball player Elena Delle Donne and a wide range of other male and female athletes.

Oxycodone, hydromorphone, prednisolone, methylprednisolone, methylphenidate (a psychostimulant), hydrocortisone and amphetamines (designer drugs) – appear among others on a list of banned substances the American athletes took. Most tested positive for doping substances. In other words, they were caught in the act in August, 2016, just before the Rio Olympics. Everyone in WADA who had anything to do with anti-doping knew about it, but there was no one to tell about it. And they all chimed in on the fantasies about doping Russian athletes…

Das ist fantastisch! This modus operandi is characteristic not only of West-German adult movies but also of international sports structures that have a customized approach in order to achieve US dominance in international sports!

We Russians are right on every count, and they are disgracing themselves, acknowledging their failure with every move they make, confirming ever more that there is neither truth, nor honesty, nor even the tiniest excuse for their behavior.

In the end, Russia will be vindicated!

***

Russian Embassy in UK: "there should be nothing private about doping files of participants of Olympics, which are a very public affair."

On the other hand, WADA justifies doping "therapy" for over-pumped Americans and forbids heart drug for Russian paralympians who were entirely banned from the Rio Paralympics.

One can't help asking, how many "very ill" American athlete are taking doping by WADA's permission? All or only Williams brothers?

CsQJWs6WYAACRs4.jpg

Yup the Russians called out the Americans on it. But really does it surprise anyone with half a brain? Women athletes that look like men---hmmm...hard training without drugs should not make a woman look like man.

Back in WW II, Nazis teamed up with Imperial Japan. Today, neo-Nazis teams up with Chinese.
so you are justifying your defense of racist white people in Stormfront too? Shameful act. Not sure why the Pakistani management team made you "professional"

.
So what is the conclusion?

Are they going to ask all these doped athletes to return the medals they have won by doping and compete without taking banned drugs?

That would be the only logical step to restore trust in all these championships.

No wonder they won so many tournaments! It's unfair to allow men against women on the WPTA tour.

So why is she allow a free pass? Medical condition, LOL. Do all American athletes suffer from Cheateritis?

Double standard.

And yes, Sharipova look like a hot woman, Serena look like a guy just came out of prison.

.
Doesn't matter.

If a person is interested in sports for a long time, this allows the formation of the muscles in that person's body. This will vary from person to person. So, please, stop writing that what kind of body type you like on women LOL.

Seems like you all on Sharapova but with the body like goddess i admire Serena-Venus sisters more. It's sad that they cheated..

#OpOlympics: Fancy Bears Hackers Release More WADA Doping Exposé Medical Records

03.10.2016

Among the latest batch are three US athletes, as well as British triathlete Alistair Brownlee, and New Zealand rower Mahe Drysdale.

“I’ve got one thing for when I climbed Kilimanjaro so we’re not particularly worried about it, if it comes out it comes out,” he told The Guardian last week, while admitting that he was concerned that his medical records could be made public. “It’s exceptionally worrying that they can get into that situation and access private medical records.”

On Tuesday, he tweeted that his TUE was in October 2013, for Diamox, to treat altitude sickness while climbing Kilimanjaro.

The leak also revealed that Drysdale received four TUEs from April 2015 through August 2016 for fluocortolone, a medicine used for the treatment of hemorrhoids.

Australian Olympic swimming gold medalist Emily Seebohm was also named as having used prednisolone in May 2009. Three US Olympians; Brian Baker, Monica Aksamit, and Rajeev Ram were also named.
