Musharraf should have never returned to Pakistan. I dont know what he was thinking when he came back.... that he was gonna run an election campaign? who were his advisors?

Now these guys are gonna hang him by the balls. And rightfully so. Overthrowing of elected gov't, performing coup, suspending of the constitution is high treason, as per the same constitution.

So, as per the law, yes he committed treason. Now we may argue that it was the need of the time, and a country like Pak, one needs to rule with the iron fist and so on. But if that's the case then suspend the constitution.

If you can't live by it, why have it? as for Musharraf, he's about to be made an example of.

Musharraf committed grave crimes by suspending Constitution of Pakistan Twice [2].

Musharraf Imposed Emergency Twice [2]

There was No National consensus on joining WOT/US, musharraf jumped in throwing Pakistan is a never ending disaster where almost 7000 soldiers and 40,000 civilians died Just because of musharraf's worst decision to join US. Technically mushrraf has his hands red with Pakistanis blood.
[People don't give us crap that US would have bombed us to stone age it don't suite your mouths being a nuclear armed nation becoming a puss.y, Iran and N. Koreans are Alive 61 years and 33 Years]

I may not like CJ of Pakistan yet throwing in and putting a serving CJ under house attest is another major crime.

Martial Law is Unconstitutional.

Musharraf abused Constitution of Pakistan later took over President of Pakistan Office being in uniform [self appointed President again unconstitutional]

Traitor or Not musharraf deserves to be behind the bars for the next 15 Years atleast.

Agree with all your points, except the WOT part.

Other people have explained why Musharraf had no choice in the matter. The US govt. was under immense domestic pressure and had an international carte blanche to do whatever it wanted. It could have practically nuked Pakistan and gotten away with it.

A little off topic, My Friend you know it better then me Turkey and refusal to US regarding Airbases, rejecting $6B Aid, stationing and using Turkish Air Bases, rejecting US demand to send in Turkish troops in certain part of Iraq...do Turks have nukes or anything special except for being part of NATO [quiet a few nations are willing to kick them out of NATO]. Despite everything here Turks are having deals of F-35 and what not. Pakistan should have shown balls asked directly what's in it for us to join you. Now where are we at in next 12 months we'll get a slap once again Pakistan will not go unpunished.

Why would US have nuked Pakistan just because Pakistan might have refused and stayed neutral. Did not N. Korea threaten US openly i don't see US nuking them or moving to do that. If that is the case tomorrow in any war US would tell Pakistan if you start a war with your neighbor we will nuke you then what? So now we don't have any independent "say"?

Turkey has no blackmailing enemy in the backyard. Like India, who offered the bases right after 911. Turkey has no issue like Kashmir. All Turkish border are safe, no real enemy. What nuke has to do in this whole scenario. Nuke is the most useless weapon in this age. Nuke for Pakistan like poor man has diamond.

he served in uniform and put his life on the line while fighting for this damn country

so those on the whole "traitor" bandwagon are just sissies who wouldnt know the first thing about serving the country or its interests

not to say he didnt make some mistakes; but then again you guys who were chanting "Go Musharaf Go" in 2007 are the same ones who keep electing crooks and waderas

Lal masjid operation was best thing he did other wise Islamabad would have been taken over by jihadis

Lol! you think so?

not to say he didnt make some mistakes

Mistakes you say ae! those were deliberate decisions, martial law is not a mistake it is always a pre-planned move, suspending Constitution of Pakistan twice is not a mistake over the top fiddling with it, it is deliberate act, imposing emergency is not a mistake it a deliberate planned move.

I don't doubt he served Army well, but he had no right to do all that we discussed above No damn right!

And yes he ran away from Pakistan because of the fear of impeachment, righteous men don't run away from impeachment, 40,000 civilians and 7000 soldiers died and mr. musharraf was enjoying in london.

So yeah serving country is not imposing martial law removing people from offices, imposing emergencies, imposing war upon own country and so on.

If bunch of mushy lovers want him spared with an NRO-II then spare all of those Pakistanis in Jail as they too have the right to be released and forgiven No? If you are not going to punish then there will be no learning from the past and then people would kept committing such heinous crimes.

Musharraf was better then many of present leaders ..he is a gr8 man , a great genral and and a great leader ...
As nawaz government failed to fullfill a;l the promises, they are just trying to divert the attentions and trying to divert the attentions ...

Nawaz sharif thinks, that Musharraf is a traitor after becoming PM. Before that however he said that "Maine Musharraf ko maaf kia"...when he was NOT the PM. Do you agree with Nawaz?

Please vote.

Because Shaikhu Jee would also be in the hit-list of SC if Article 6(2) is applied. Shaikh Sahib is making last ditch hue and cry to save his neck. :)

Iraq and North Korea are not Afghanistan, Saddam/Kim Jong are not responsible for killing 3000 American civilians.

I was in New York when 9/11 happened.
Trust me, the US government wasn't in the mood to accept any excuses.
If Bush showed any sign of hesitation or compromise, he would have been impeached.

Lol! you think so?

I said "practically".

The US would have reduced Pakistan's military capability to be worse than Zimbabwe's. It would't take them more than a week at the most.
