The purpose of this thread is to let all members of defence.pk know about volunteer activities, going on in our cities, for assistance of people of calamity hit areas.

As you know that the floods and rains have wrecked havoc in Pakistan. Millions of people and their property have been affected by this natural calamity in the country.

Millions of people have been struck by this God send calamity.The destruction of this flood is so much wider in scope that "you wont believe it until you see it" like situation is their on the ground. It has not only affected the poor and the un privileged but also the upper and lower middle class families. Their homes, land, properties and businesses have completely been destroyed. Additionally there is this constant fear of viral pandemics like cholera, diarrhea and gastritis etc.

It is in this context that I appeal to all members of defence.pk that this is the time when one has to pay the debt one owes to his motherland.We really need to show our "just spirits".

The relief items may be sent to your nearest PAF Bases, where they have made arrangements for collection and transportation of the items to the flood affectees.

PIMA Khyber Pakhtoon Khuwa once again provides opportunities to all the brothers, to participate in the relief activity for the victim of the catastrophic rain & floods throughout the country.

The KPK chapter of PIMA is launching the relief activity from tomorrow the 31st July, 2010. It is planned that daily three Medical teams shall be leaving for different destinations, from the base camp at Prime Hospital Warsak Road , Peshawar .

Dr. Muhammad Sharif has been assigned the duty to coordinate all this activity. His Cell No. is: 0333-5128851. All those friends & brothers who want to participate as voluntarily may coordinate with him.

PIMA has also asked all its members & other philanthropic brothers to donate generously to overcome the situation. To facilitate those who get the blessings of ALLAH SWT & want to donate, can do it directly through members of PIMA in their respective areas or can deposit their donations in
