Is it about the time to start thread(s) in order to ‘visualize the future of Bangladesh’ against the backdrop of global/regional military developments that are simultaneously going to inflict sufferance & distress on us, too ?

Since whole Bangladesh is now deeply divided on political allegiance to AL / BNP, we may perhaps defer the few trivial home issues---for a while---and instead focus hard on global/regional military issues that are going to affect us in the form of wider collateral damage---though, by the days, situations are getting complicated at home, too.

Nevertheless, the global stage of affairs are getting entangled into complicated horrendous possibilities, too quick.

Since human thoughts are very powerful, a collective attempt of visualization----by Bangladeshi talents along with our all global well-wishers in PDF, a defense forum---will help us to understand the future of Bangladesh vis-à-vis such global/regional military issues, and get us prepared/re-orient our courses of actions & thoughts accordingly. Having positive thoughts and creative visualization, we can pretty much reveal the defense reality awaiting us.

For example, minimum 3 global/regional factors of military nature that will affect Bangladesh homes:

1. Possible China – India encounter: Several threads in PDF are discussing such possibility. Such an event will give rise to several other possibilities---the resultant vortex of which will draw Bangladesh definitely to some perilous military ultimate of which our masses are not aware a bit.

2. Pak’s WOT in FATA : You will note in PDF that some Indian members are in favor of PA extending operation in NW agency, and also pursue afghan Taliban beyond. On the contrary, many Pak members maintain that PA should only pursue TT of Pakistan, and should not engage Afghan elements, and should start development works in FATA sooner.

You may surprise to learn that all developments in Afghanistan till date, and these recent Pakistan views on ‘where to stop’ are much in line with what Shah Naimatullah (r.a) predicted almost 800 years back, and these fall, too, in line with other stronger predictions of 1400 years back.

Most of SN’s prediction have already come true with astounding precision, and if so does in future too, then an east-bound expedition of deadly military consequence by forces from current Afghan/FATA epicenter is to occur that will affect India, and so Bangladesh.

3. Possible attack on Iran by Israel &/or US : Few members in PDF think that Iceland’s recent volcano eruption will only be a subtle reminder of the potential for bedlam in the event of a conflict with Iran over its nuclear program. How Iran may retaliate affecting Afghanistan, and total mid-east ? How this may affect Bangladesh particularly through its huge expat labor community in mid-east ? India is trying to keep legs on both boats---Israel and Iran. How long this feat may work ? Let us visualize, and put our comments.

Practically, there have to be minimum 2 separate threads, e.g :

1. Bangladesh in the event of China – India War
2. Bangladesh in the event of further military complications in Khorasan

#2 above may include all military developments in Iran – Afghanistan – FATA --parts of Iraq theater that largely constitute Khorasan.

Please comment / suggest whether / how Bangladeshi members will be interested in such threads---provided Mods allow ? Is it about time ? If yes, please, any of you may go ahead.

These are flights of fancy nothing more.

None of the above mentioned scenarios will really affect Bangladesh. Even if it does it would just a minor thing.

How on earth does the WOT in FATA impact BD !.. and please spare us the ' Ummah' thing.

More than the military complications environmental ones will impact BD more. They will be faster & have permanent results.

Why do you consider that in case of any China-India conflict, the repercussions on Bangladesh will be 'just a minor' ? Would you please care to elaborate, Dr. Evil ?

In case India is affected if WOT escalates, so will be the next door neighbor Bangladesh....isn't it ?

For example: Consider the following scene (among many possible scenario)......

1. Pak concludes its operation on TTP, and starts re-construction works in FATA without venturing in N-W'stan---for its best interest.

2. Afghan T remain unharmed further, and considering their rise in activity elsewhere in Afghanistan, start of US/NATO withdrawal within a year, Taliban vs NA factor, India + NA factor....finally US/NATO pushed India---the regional super-power---to captain over Afghanistan.

3. Will that polarize Afghan Taliban + TTP, any that is still alive & a-ctive + ISI / PA + Foreign Mujahideens at one pole, and India + NA on the other ?

4. If so, will that escalate more complications on India's western border including J&K ? [Shah Naimatullah's (r. a) prediction---till correct over last few hundred years---say that it will]

5. Even considering US/Russia at arm's length, and 'No Ummah sentiment'....Will not that implicate---at least otherwise, if not militarily---all neighboring countries of India---including Bangladesh ?

6. In case, US/Russia stand fast besides India, the China factor will add to the scenario...making whole scene further complicated. or is it not ?

7. If 'Ummah factor' is added, ....it will be too big a guess which may draw also Iran and some Central Asians which in turn may put entire mid-east in turmoil.

Now say above is vastly incorrect posssibility (which perhaps is). To you, what is the more dependable possibility ? Please enlighten.

Straight: your hypothesis is based on the above single reason, that just because India is somehow effected on one of our front, it will effect our neighbor on our other end of our border.

What Third Eye was trying to tell you is that we have a limited role in Afg - neutralizing Pak's influence and to contain the spill over of the extremist into kashmir. We have faced proxy war on western border for ages now -- Did it effect you in any way at all? .... Why should it effect you now?

As long as India has a 'limited' role &/or even fighting a 'proxy war', Bangladesh is affected also in limited ways:

1. Out-of-proportion 'anti-terrorist' sentiment and hatred are being spread by 'anti-islam' forces of the world that cause unwanted harrasment to general unrelated innocent muslims and Islamic Institutions in Bangladesh.

2. Development of trade and relationship with Pakistan are blocked.

3. Heinous attempt to divide Bangladesh population into pro- and anti-Pakistani / Islamic camps.

etc. etc. These 'limited' factors are also blocking the natural growth of normal mindset of Bangladeshi population, and working adversely to grow wealth and human resources of the nation, and thus harming 'ominously' too.

However, the point to make is if such 'limited' & 'usual' activities are escalated to ominous scale (much beyond 'usual' scale) I am afraid China has every chance to be drawn into the vortex----either by way of retaliation or for co-operation to Pak or by mis-step of India. That will implicate Bangladesh in worse manner.

That is why we need to fathom possible impacts, if any.

Appreciate your imagination.

I do not think predictions by whoever ( BTW who is Shah Naimatullah ?) have any relevance in international politics .

Nothing more for the rest.

How will WOT in FATA thousands of miles away effect bengladesh?
Kinda crazy... dont u think?

“The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.”….Albert Einstein. A small geographical entity as is Bangladesh needs to resort to Intelligence more than knowledge dispensed by all and sundry over Internet.

Hazrat Shah Naimatullah (r.a) was a saint of India subcontinent almost 800+ years back. Do not attempt to study him or his predictions unless you truly believe in Muslim saints. I mentioned him in parenthesis for the benefit of those who are already familiar with his life.

However, just to quench your thirst, I advise a small visit to <http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69785>

In its current form and size, not much sans the anguish a brother suffers for others. You leave or take.... the fact remains that Bangladeshis are brothers to those who are invloved.

But if (that IF is the problem) it escalates involving other regional players to any ominous scale---possibility of which none living can deny, why not ?

Dr.Evil, third eye, stumper, Pakistani Nationalist:

The thread is intended as an exercise to search whether there is any logically/factually well-founded cause of back-lash on Bangladesh due to (1) any China-India conflict; (2) escalated military complications in Khorasan area.

It is not intended to stretch any one’s vision / imagination to create unnecessarily any such adverse possibility on Bangladesh---if there is none (thanks to Allah) or to deny forcibly if does any exist.

So far you assured that there is no such fear. I thank and respect you for your views.

We are quite happy in Bangladesh as we are now----far from any doldrums of war. With our local headaches involving local issues of daily life / current Govt. affairs---if do not escalate further---here it is still plenty of peace. We do not want to be prisoner of anguish that is not going to befall on us.

However, if any one thinks---other than you and including Bangladeshis---on the contrary and thinks that there is cause to alert Bangladesh, please do not shy away.

The predictions of Hazrat Shah Naimatullah (RA) Wali
In few pages, this is summery of predictions of Naimatullah Shah Wali (RA), a Suffi Saint who was born nearly 900 years ago in Kashmir and has predicted events till the End of Times.
-------------
The predictions of Hazrat Shah Naimatullah (RA) Wali:

The respected saints of every time always forewarn their followers and sanctimonious people to refrain from indulging in malpractices and sinful doings. One of them was Hazrat Naimat Ullah Shah Kashmiri, aka Hazrat Shah Naimat Wali Ullah who, after travelling through the Subcontinent finally settled in the Kashmir Valley and ultimately breathed his last there. Hazrat Shah Naimat made some predictions almost eight hundred years ago in the form of Persian verses and, surprisingly, those predictions are coming true with the passage of time.

The most interesting thing is that what Hazrat Shah Naimat said corresponds with what the Holy Prophet said centuries before him. It is said that Hazrat Shah Naimat’s prophecies consist of more or less two thousand verses but unfortunately only a few hundred of them are available.

The appealing thing is that at most of the places the names of the persons and places are clearly mentioned while at other occasions he has indicated towards personalities or places through initials or the starting alphabets (in Persian) of nouns. The first prediction is about Nadir Shah’s attack of Delhi. He said: “Nadir Shah would emerge from Iran and would snatch the Indian empire. He would callously use his sword to assassinate the people of Delhi.” About the Mughals he said: “You (who are reading my prophecies) will not find Mughals anywhere after 300 years.

About the arrival of East India Company in the Subcontinent, he said:“Rajas and Maharajas would turn careless. For most of the time they would remain drunk and addicted to opium. At that time the British/Christians would land in India disguised as traders and businessmen.” About the British rule in India he predicted:“My dears! Understand it very clearly that they would rule India for 100 years at least.”(Please note that the Britishers’ stay in India was for 200 years, however, they ruled only for 100 years. When Lord Curzon, the then Viceroy of India came to know about Hazrat Shah Naimat’s prophecies, he put a ban on their publishing and making them public).

While talking about the First World War, Shah Naimat predicts:“For four years a great war would be fought in the West in which ‘E’(England) would score an unfair victory over ‘G’(Germany).” I would like to clarify that Shah Naimat used the Persian alphabets Alif for Inglistan (England) and Jeem for Germany. The interesting point to note is that this war was fought in the West (Europe) for four years (1914-1918).

While predicting more about First World War, he even gave the death figures. Shah Naimat said:“It would be a great world war. There would be a great bloodshed and about 13.1 million people would be killed.” He prophesised about the Second World War also and said:“The Second World War would start 21 years after the First World War and it would be more violent, lethal, destructive and ruinous then the first one.” People who are interested in military history knows it very well that the Second World War (1939-1945) started exactly 21 years after the First World War.

While mentioning the weapons he said:“The scientists of that era would make very deadly and fatal weapons which could measure energy and power and would bring mass destruction to the fighting forces (atomic bomb).

Wali said,“It would be evident to the whole world that India would be clearly divided into two parts. Due to hypocrisy and cheating there would be a lot of tragedies, massacres and carnage.” Shah Sahib while referring to undemocratic governments in this region said,“India would be ruled by rulers who would not be legitimate to do so. They would change the official rules and set of laws just like that. Law and order would scarcely prevail.”

“The followers of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace be upon him) would indulge in disgraceful criminal acts and immoral and indecent conduct.” His views about religious leaders are not very encouraging. He said,“The muftis of that era would behave irresponsibly. They would issue fatwas (religious decrees) without any reason. (doesn't it sound like Fatwas of Mulana Sufi Mohammed in Swat) but when it would come to speak the truth about the religion, they would start making despicable and lame excuses. He further said,“The Islamic teachings would be like a blown out candle. No one would care about them. Scholars would be forcefully relegated to the lowest pedestals and the uneducated and amateurish would turn up as intellectuals and scholars.”

His following few predictions about wars in the region are quite obvious. Naimat Shah said,“Suddenly, the Muslims would face a quite jolting restlessness. They would fight a daring war with kafirs (non-Muslims) of the region. After a 17-day war the Almighty would bless the Muslims with a victory. They would earn this triumph after fighting a bloody war, daringly laying down their lives and rendering a lot of sacrifices. A Hindu leader would represent his country in another atheist country, where he would die while in his sleep.”

(This refers to 1965 War. Lal Bahadur Shastri died of a heart attack in Tashkent, an atheist city of athiest Soviet Union.)

“The people of the Muslim part of the Subcontinent would dethrone their ameer (President) and from then onwards they would earn a great humiliation. ( Khwaja Nazimuddin's removal). After that there would be a great rage, calamity and chastisement. The punisher (Allah) would sentence those who would deserve it. Allah would issue a mass killing command. The eastern part of the country would tragically fall due to the deceitfulness of pretenders. The people of the western part would mourn over it. A big city of the eastern part would become a place of butchery and bloodshed. A mass killing would take place there and people would be slaughtered freely without any fear. A Muslim leader, in fact, would be an abettor of the kafirs and would lend them full support through his treachery.” (The accursed Mujiburahman who chose his place in Hell among the Kuffars).

“The person whose name would start with Gaaf (Persian alphabet having ‘G’ as an alternative in English) and would contain six letters (maybe Gandhi) would remain victorious in this war due to his impiety and wickedness (Indira Gandhi).

Shah Sahib said:“The Muslims of the western portion (West Pakistan) would have the blessings of Allah. The most responsible leaders, skilled scientists and highly professional and dedicated military experts would be available to them. All the Muslim countries would be looking towards them. Muslims from Turkey, Arabia, Iran and the Middle East would turn up with remarkable Ummah spirit to support them and the area of Chitral, Nanga Parbat, Gilgit, China and Tibet would become the main battlefield.”

Hazrat Naimat Shah further said:“The people of Kabul would also come out to kill kafirs (non-Muslims) who would run around from pillar to post and would make petty and paltry excuses to save their lives. They would literally beg the Muslims for their lives. The frontier would quiver and quake with the foot-beats of ghazis and mujahids of the frontier who would suddenly emerge out of nowhere. This event would take place after Eid-ul-Azha and the next Eid ul Fitr.”

Wali said:“River Attock (Kabul) would be filled thrice, with the blood of kafirs, during that period. The Muslims would capture the whole Punjab (including Lahore city), Kashmir, the land situated between River Ganges and Yamuna (Uttar Pradesh province) and the city of Bijnaur. This war would remain among the human beings for good about six months and ultimately, God willing, the Muslims would be victorious. All the enemies and the ill-wishers of Islam would be killed and the whole India would be clean of Hinduism and Hindu traditions.” Shah Naimat said:“Suddenly there would be a great roar. It would be a catastrophic earthquake like the doomsday. It would cause great devastation and disruption in Sindh and Hind (India).”

While predicting another bloody war he said:“One of the two alifs (America and England (Inglistan) I have mentioned earlier, would be totally destroyed. Russia would attack the western alif (maybe England). Russia would also kneel down to China’s wrath, rage and fury and would be destroyed. However, to live in the world would beg China for immunity. Later on, one of the jeems (either Germany or Japan) would make an alliance with Russia against either of the alifs (America or England). Most lethal and explosive weapons would be used to an extent that the alif (America or England) would be totally wiped out from the world map and its name would remain merely in the history books. This would be a punishment for them from the Almighty and the generations would remember them as the iniquitous.”

Hazrat Shah Naimat very specifically prophesied about the western portion of the Subcontinent’s Muslim country (Pakistan).“The king (president) of the west would invade the non-Muslims of the region due to military might and would cause them a great defeat which would be beyond their imaginations. Islam would dominate India for at least forty years until Dajjal would emerge from the city of Esfahan. There would be a lot of sedition, disturbance, violence and war in the region. Khorasan, Egypt, Syria and Iraq would not be an exception. The war would devastate and desolate these countries as well until the Best Year as described by the Holy Quran would come. Imam Mehdi would attain prominence. He would appear during the Hajj days and suddenly he would become famous the world over.” In my opinion, Imam Mehdi would appear before Dajjal’s appearance.

The Wali further predicts:“Dajjal’s forces would be in Esfahan and his army would be consisted of Jews and Christians and I am clearly seeing it. I can also see a dust storm rising up from Kufa. Jesus Christ would also descend from the heavens. I can see thousands of riders accompanying the Christ and finally Jesus, the son of Mary, would kill Dajjal with his own sword. Look Naimat Shah! Stop and do not disclose the secrets of Allah. I am predicting these events in the Islamic year 548 Hijri.” Allah knows best.

---------
Note: Present Islamic year is 1430 Hijri.

SHOULD WE REALLY TAKE SAINTS' PREDICTIONS SERIOUSLY---even for Int'l issues ?

If mods kindly allow to veer off the topic slightly……..

To visualize future, and to construct future scenario—for strategic purpose—think tanks all around the globe rely on data & figures. Some stalwart like Bruce Bueno de Mesquita (a professor of politics at New York University and a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University in California) describes a computer model based on game theory which— he and others claim—can predict the future with remarkable accuracy.

The University of Miami (UM) researchers and their collaborators analyzed the size and timing of 54,679 violent events reported in Afghanistan, Colombia, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Northern Ireland, Peru, Senegal and Sierra Leone. The findings show that there is a generic way in which humans carry out insurgency and terrorism when faced by a large powerful state force, and this is irrespective of background history, motivation, ideology, politics and location, explains Neil Johnson, principal investigator of the study and professor of Physics at the UM College of Arts and Sciences.

We—the amateurs of lesser talents, the self-styled arm-chair analysts in Internet forums—use much smaller resources, and simpler methods.

But, then all these methods and resources for prediction and visualization of future scenario are what human brain can produce through study, experiment, analyses and experience.

If such inputs are even fortified by extra-celestial input from the infinite knowledge & intelligence of almighty, the creator, is not that all the better ? The prediction of SN Wali is just the same for those who will heed. Over a span of 800 years, it proved to be accurate in several instances.

It is accepted by scholars that in affairs belonging to the welfare of Muslims, Allah let His prophets and Auliyas know selective unknown matters which are Mu’jiza in case of Prophets, and Karaamat in case of Auliyas (who are close to Allah ; saints. )

Karaamaat and Mujizaat are supernatural feats. Some supernatural feats though occur both at the hands of the prophet and sometimes at the hands of the Auliya (those close to Allaah), certain acts that are specific with the prophet, and cannot occur to the Auliya. For example, the Qur’aan is a Mu’jizah of Rasulullah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam. It has not and will never occur to any other creation of Allaah Ta’ala.”

lmaam Nawawi rahmatullah ‘alayhi has mentioned: “The karaamaat of the Auliya do not occur by their own desire and volition. Moulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi rahmatullah alaihi explains that Karaamaat and Mu’jizah do not occur by a person’s design—that whenever the Nabi or Wali wishes he can execute such an act. Such acts only occur when Allaah Ta’ala in His Infinite Wisdom wishes to exhibit the act. It then occurs whether a person desires it or not.

A karaamah does not indicate that the person performing such an act is better than others. In fact, sometimes the karaamah decreases his status in the sight of Allaah, due to fame and vanity entering his heart. It was for this reason that many of the pious personalities used to make istighfaar (seek forgiveness) when a karaamah would manifest itself at their hands, just as they would make istighfaar when sins are committed.

The Karaamaat of the Auliya are in fact a Mu’jizah of the Prophet sallaliahu alayhi wa sallam since the veracity of the followers, ie. (Auliyas) are sure signs of the veracity of the one he follows, i.e. the Prophet.

So, let us--particularly the Muslims--take seriously the relevant parts of SN’s prediction that involves our region, and try hard to visualize what may await us in future.
