It is been long times for me, last time was 1990. I truly missed my country, I'll be visiting Pakistan soon depending on current situation in Karachi.
Three of my friends have recently spent time in Karachi, the last one returned in January. Seriously man, you should never be afraid to visit your own country, especially cities like Karachi, Lahore etc. Millions of people live their lives in these cities every day; they go to work, they go to school, they go out for entertainment etc. We should all learn from their resilience.

And seriously, the chances of you becoming a victim of terrorism is quite low in the major cities (minus Peshawar, but I'm still going to go there, InshAllah).

I feel like a stranger in Pakistan now, even though I grew up there and much of my family and khandaan still resides there, so close but feels so distant...

Obsession with money and zeal for worldly wealth has turned us so apart that the natural union of family feels so artificial and unlovely. Maybe I just feel it this way...

I feel that people around me in family and friends circle (except for a couple) are there 4 some monetary gains alone not for human companionship or to renew sacred blood ties.

It's been 5 years since my last visit... still love my homeland and my heart yearns to visit and feel and touch the sacred soil that has given birth to saints and nobles and the fakirs through whose prayers and blessings we are what we ought to be and on the path to our destiny, especially to visit the graves and pay respect to my late grand father and Phupha Jaan: Both great fakir's and buzurg's whose company i and any human being with a heart would dearly miss...

People have become so unbelievably materialistic and artificial there that it becomes quite bothersome and harder to breathe through the air of material showbazy. It's hard and suffocating. How do you guys survive all of that?

Am I the lone duck who feels this way? :partay:

:pakistan:
