Yes, diaspora gave money and purchased weapons on international market. :LTTE would not be this successful but for the diaspora. But it is the blood spilled by the fighters that really the backbone of resistance.

Thanks to India, they did not. Once LTTE was destroyed, Tamils were helpless and Sinhala government backed off on all their promises to international community. India gave diplomatic cover to this. We will never forgive India.

Where did u get the information Tamils have autonomy. Not a single PROMISED constitutional amendment was made after the war. So where does autonomy come from?

Life is peaceful? Yes, Sinhala soldiers are not killed but Tamils are killed, tortured and raped according to international human rights groups.

And what about Pakistan ??? As few of our Pakistani friends in PDF always claim, if not for Pakistan Sri-Lanka wouldn't have defeated LTTE. They too have a very dirty role in this. :-(

They however did for decades !

And even if indian federal govt backed out.. the provincial govt of tamil nadu kept supporting LTTE.

Aswell as elements of indian federal govt.

All these things have been documented.. aswell as on record .. stated by surviving LTTE leadership.

SL special forces were raised by Pakistan.
SL mil recieved training in Pak.
SL recieved weapons shipments from Pakistan every week.
Pak also sent military advisors to SL.

And for that Pak Ambassador and diplomats were targeted by LTTE.

The Naval officer that led operations against the LTTE smuggling fleet was Tamil while the Intelligence head was Muslim. The Naval officer that designed arrow-speed boats that ended LTTE swaming and suicide boat tactics was a Burgher
