No idont agree these tests are a disgrace and invasion of privacy specially inhumane if snactioned by gov. Also one could agree on it if they will be in place for both men and women. Its not just women who sleep around men do as well. And honestly in pakistan you will find more guys losing virginity compared to women. You can easily find prostitues in bigger cities , nowadays they roam on popular downtowm streets and there is a dress code they follow which helps prospective customers identify them like they will wear a chaddar and stand on road side. who are their customers. Obviously men, same guys want virgin wives.

Plus this test doesnt give correct results as some one else too shared that women could fail the test if they have been active in sports and such activities.

In my view every pious man and woman deserve to demand an untouched partner so people can discuss that before marriage.

I agree.

But men and women who lose their virginity before marriage and then complain why society is unfair to them cannot be allowed to play a proactive part in society.

There has to be consequences for degenerate behavior.

It’s related to Pakistan or not dosent matter we should need to get out from caves and smell the world around, it’s tottaly different just put away your culture and religion and think about a lit human rights and it’s violations.
Girls can lost virginity without having ..x or whatever, it’s not a huge issue the issue is how she be your life partner be good with you and your family.
I have a dozen of examples culturally or religiously when a partner chose not for what we discussing.
Shame on Tharkis and so called Thekedar of culture and religion.

The issue here isn’t that some people are or not, the concern usually rises when people are made to undergo a test to prove their purity for the sake of righteousness or when shame is associated concerning only one half of the party, in particularly a specific gender. That is highly unreasonable and unfair.

If one is to look at it from the Faith point of view then Marrying a divorcee is encouraged and technically a female doesn’t have to share ANY information of her past so long as it doesn’t impact the future. The moment you’re involved with someone else - THAT point going forward is when everything should be taken to accountability. Not the period before, when two people were completely non-existent to eachother. Its irrelevant.

However, it’s fair to say that the Male society is pretty much obsessed with this notion and claim it as their right, when I’m sorry, it’s not. Prior to your time, nothing is a ‘right’.

The hypocrisy comes when a guy has done everything under the sun but demands a ‘character worthy’ female. Match your profile with your words bro. If you want someone that’s speck free then ensure you are also SPECK FREE. Everyone’s entitled to a preference and it’s their right, but a right shouldn’t contradict your own previous actions. If you expect flaws and errors to be overlooked then be prepared to overlook someone else’s. If you believe God will forgive your wrongs, then hold the same compassion towards others and be sure to know that forgiveness isn’t just limited to you but other human beings too and that very same God can forgive others as well.

Do Pakistani girls go through this surgery? Never heard of it. Pakistani society doesn't care about hymen rupture.

I feel like there's been huge amount of bs in this thread and close to know discussion so if OP wanted to know whether these tests occur in Pakistan and what is the general perception of virginity in Pakistan I can add two cents to the discussion.

About the tests ? I don't think they happen anywhere in Pakistan at all to simply put it most don't even know such a thing exists.

As for the the general perception around the concept of virginity it varies around social class you'll see the highest amount of stigmatization around this topic in middle class families. I'd say 99% of the guys would expect their wives to bleed on the wedding night because otherwise it usually takes an ugly turn. If you see a divorce within the first week of a marriage and don't hear alot as to what went wrong then it's safe to make assumptions and you'd probably be right.

Read a few articles on Virginity tests which still take place in Afghanistan, Africa, Indonesia and even in some rural parts of India.

One would say this practice is embarrassing, medieval and humiliating. Another thing I find typical is how women are always resorted to undertake such an embarrassing, uncomfortable and horrible ordeal whilst men can pop as many weasels as they want and aren’t held accountable.

It takes two to tango.

And the most funny thing about such tests is that there is no certain way to prove the girl is virgin.
Hymens can be ruptured for a lot of other reasons and some girls by birth don,t have a hymen.On top of that with hymen surgeries available in the market a girl can screw thousand men and later have a surgery to prove how pure and good girl she is
