Has he been sentenced already? That is pretty quick.. some of the news reports (mainly Indian) claiming he has been jailed for ten years. I think that is ridiculous... 24 hour police custody would have been more than enough considering the way south Asian police treat their guests under their custody!

They can warn him to keep his emotions in check and set him free after the completion of their procedures. Law enforcement authorities these days too have many other serious affairs to tackle with.

Personally I do not have a problem with that. It's a free country and the laws should reflect that.
